Standing at 10 by 12.4 by 7.6 metres, this incredible art installation titled “Remember Your Dreams” is the brainchild of French artist and architect Cyril Lancelin, commissioned specially for Porsche under its new art and design initiative, “The Art of Dreams”.
As part of Singapore Art Week, this immersive piece of work is composed of air-filled elements, creating a surreal environment that invites visitors to step out of the mundaneness of everyday reality to remember their dreams. Getting inspired by its ethereal structure and mesmerising colour also comes as a bonus.
First showcased in Paris in October 2021, the art piece makes its foray into Asia with its first stop in Singapore. Backed by the magnificent Marina Bay Sands towers and Art Science Museum, this showcase will make its home at the Promontory at Marina Bay Sands from 21 to 29 January 2022.
Why purple, you might ask? Well, the artist himself chose this colour after being inspired by a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (model year 1973), and felt that it was the perfect hue for creating an immersive illusion and making the installation feel “out of this world”.
Get that insta-worthy moment
Whether it be getting a picture for the ‘gram, or taking some time out to pause and reflect (perhaps some visualisation for 2022?), be enthralled by the sheer magnitude of this showcase and allow it to take you as far as your imagination goes.
