Marvel fans, it’s time to assemble again. Those of you who have been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) would probably be looking forward to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
The highly anticipated movie is the first Avengers movie in 7 years, and will be released on 17 December 2026 here in Singapore. However, just yesterday, Marvel announced that it will also bring the last Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame, back to theatres on 24 September 2026.
Prepare for Doomsday

Titled ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’, this seems, for the most part, to be Marvel’s way of building excitement for Avengers: Doomsday, while reconnecting audiences to the movie franchise. This is especially for those who have yet to catch up with the series since 2019’s Endgame or are new to the MCU.

In the official trailer for Avengers Endgame: Encore and a special video from Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America), it was confirmed that Avengers Endgame: Encore will feature an exclusive new look at Avengers: Doomsday. Apparently, this will add 4 minutes to the already lengthy 3-hour runtime of Endgame.

Fans have also been theorising that major plot points of Avengers: Endgame will lead directly into Avengers: Doomsday, which seems to be almost 100% confirmed with the latest Doomsday trailers and this re-release of Endgame.
At the time of writing, only the release date of Avengers Endgame: Encore has been announced. No further details on tickets and showings have been released, so we will need to stay tuned for more.
Relive Endgame on the best screens

Avengers: Endgame was first released in 2019 to critical and commercial success. The culmination of 11 years of storytelling across 22 movies, it was hailed by many as a perfect finale to the MCU’s Infinity Saga, which started with 2008’s Iron Man.

But for those of you who have watched Avengers: Endgame at least once, you might be wondering if there’s enough reason to go to the cinema again. Besides giving you exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday early, Avengers Endgame: Encore will also be shown in IMAX and new Infinity Vision screens.
This means experiencing Avengers: Endgame again on bigger, brighter, and more immersive screens. For me, this is definitely an experience worth going to the theatre again for.
If you’d like to relive the magic of watching Endgame in theatres in 2019, or want to prepare for Avengers: Doomsday, keep an eye out online for when tickets go on sale.
