Betsubara Creamery & Cafe in the Tampines Greenverge neighbourhood is one of them, even though they’re not new to the scene; you may have spotted their other outlets in Thomson Plaza and Marina Square!

They specialise in artisanal Japanese ice cream made with a premium Hokkaido milk base that also happens to be eggless, vegetarian-friendly, and lower in fat and sugar.

Flavours-wise, you can expect the likes of Lavender Hokkaido Milk, Salted Caramel Butterscotch, and Roasted Pistachio. If you’re a fan of fruity flavours, look no further than the Japanese Rock Melon and Kyoho Grape.

A Standard Single and Double scoop is priced at S$4.80 and S$8.50 respectively, while those with the tiniest of appetites can opt for the Junior Single (S$3.80). Do note that you’ll have to fork out an additional S$1 or S$1.50 for Super Premium Flavours.

One thing you’ll notice is that all ice cream is served with colourful shovel spoons — super cute.

If you’re a fan of soft serve, don’t miss out on the Signature Soft Cream, the Sea Salt Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream (S$4.80), best enjoyed atop a crunchy Cone (S$1). As someone who loves sweet and salty pairings, this is one flavour I can never resist!
