Ralph’s Coffee fans rejoice, as the popular cafe has opened their second outlet in Singapore! This time, the outlet is conveniently located at Shaw Centre in Orchard Road, and it’s connected to their retail store so you can rest your feet after all your shopping!
The menu here comprises the same selection of drinks and American desserts that you’ll be able to get at their outlet in Marina Bay Sands. One drink you should definitely try is the Pineapple Shaken Tea (S$8), which is a drink that is exclusive to Singapore —- love that for us.
The drink is very refreshing and it has some pineapple pulp — which shows that they use the real stuff. It’s not overly sweet and you can still taste the tea flavours that blend perfectly with the pineapple. I think this would make a great drink on a hot and sunny day.
The Strawberry Rose Matcha Latte (from S$8.50)is their Valentine’s Day special and is only available until 31 March 2024, while stocks last. It was really creamy and had a slight hint of strawberry flavour which complemented the light rose aroma, finished with a slight bitterness from the matcha.
Other drinks on the menu here include the iconic Ralph’s Coffee (from S$5.50). For something a little more aromatic and flavourful, you can go for their Sea Salt Caramel Latte (from S$8).
No trip to Ralph’s Coffee is complete without having a go at the Ralph’s Chocolate Cake (S$14). This was by far the largest slice of chocolate cake I have ever had — but I’m not complaining.
The chocolate cake was rich and decadent, without being overly sweet. As someone who isn’t a fan of chocolate cakes, I really enjoyed this one. It had the right balance of sweetness and chocolatey goodness, without being too cloying. The sponge cake was also moist and blended well with the creamy chocolate fudge layers.
As a cheesecake lover, I had to order Ralph’s Cheesecake (S$13) the moment I saw it on the menu. Texture-wise, I wished the cheese was a little smoother and less crumbly.
Flavour-wise, it was creamy and not cloying. I especially loved the cookie crust that added a nice buttery crunch to the cheesecake. They also have a very delicious looking Carrot Cake (S$14), which I will definitely be back to try.
The Coffee Soft Serve (S$9) is a must get here at Ralph’s coffee. The soft serve is creamy, lightly sweet with a strong coffee aroma. It’s probably one of the most well-balanced coffee flavoured soft serve I’ve tried.
Fun Fact: the soft serve is made using the Ralph’s Roast — Ralph’s Coffee’s own house blend of coffee beans. If you’re not a fan of coffee, they also have a vanilla soft serve available.
Ralph’s Coffee also has a set of Chinese New Year Cookies for you to impress your guests this CNY. Their festive cookies come in a box of six assorted flavours for S$42, including a brand new hazelnut orange cookie sandwich. The cookie set is available from now until 2 March 2024.
Yes, I get it, the prices here are a little on the steeper side, But, for what it’s worth, Ralph’s Coffee does use premium quality ingredients and their portions are massive — just take a look at the chocolate cake. Definitely a place you can consider checking out when you’re feeling a little boujee.
