One of China’s thriving beverage brands is making its international debut in Singapore. BlackTree, the viral sensation recognised as China’s No. 1 Thai milk tea brand, will be opening its first overseas outlet at 313@Somerset, introducing Singapore to its signature Thai tea creations and innovative tea concepts.

Have you seen the trendy Shanghai Lily Lamb Matcha? Known for its adorable lamb-themed Matcha Latte hand-drawn on every cup, it has blown up on social media. Now, Singapore becomes the second outlet in the world to offer the Lily Lamb Matcha No. 2 (S$7.90). Blended with King Jasmine Tea, Matcha No. 2 keeps a light, delicate profile, even when topped with their signature matcha cheese foam. If you prefer something sweeter and richer, try Matcha No. 1, crafted with vanilla bean seeds and speciality milk.
Meet the photogenic Milky Cat Cheese Milk Thai Tea (S$6.90) – rich Thai tea layered with creamy cheese yoghurt, chewy coconut jelly, and water chestnut popping boba, crowned with an irresistibly cute, cloud-soft kitten-shaped cream topping. This combination is surprisingly not too jelak, but rather light, fun, and easy to drink.
We had two more drinks from the Matcha Cheese Cloud line. The Bamboo Oolong Milk Tea (S$6.90) is blended with light milk and topped with silky matcha cheese cream, while the Jasmine Milk Tea (S$6.90) uses a premium Jasmine tea base layered with fragrant matcha cream cheese.
We also tried the Classic Thai Tea and Matcha Gelato. A delightful pairing where the subtle saltiness of the Thai Tea tempers the gelato’s sweetness, resulting in a well-balanced salty-sweet flavour that’s not overly sweet.
