If you’re here, you probably definitely love cats – why else would you be clicking into an article about cat cafes in Singapore? And if you’re fond of cats, then you would likely know how hilarious these creatures are with a natural talent for making us laugh with all the silly antics they get up to – all while being so cute and adorable at the same time.

But here’s a pretty common dilemma that many cat (or animal) lovers face. Not all of us are able to keep these furry, feisty and funny little creatures as pets for a myriad of reasons, whether it’s because of space restrictions, allergies or anything else.

However, that doesn’t mean that you should miss out on being able to interact and create some awesome memories with these fluffy babies!

To make sure everyone gets a chance to cuddle up with the cutest cats of all breeds from our local kitties to exotic bengal and sphynx cats and more, here are the best 10 cat cafes and catteries we’ve found in Singapore!

Editor’s Note:

We enjoy animal-related establishments as it gives us the opportunity to interact with our favourite animals – and as animal lovers, we can’t ignore the ethical issues that revolve around this. From animal cafes to pet shops and catteries, there are a wide range of ethical concerns when it comes to animal welfare such as the treatment of the animals, or ethical breeding at pet shops and catteries.

As we share some really great animal cafes, pet shops and catteries to visit, we strongly urge everyone to treat these animals gently, and if you have seen signs that the animals are not being well taken care of, please highlight it to us immediately. If you are considering getting a pet, we would also encourage you to consider adoption options first if possible. There are plenty of lovable animals waiting for a good home at places like SoSD, Cat Welfare Society, and the SPCA!

Something a little different, here’s a Singapore-based Ragdoll and Singapura cattery – Playground Ragdolls specialises in ragdoll cats (one of the larger breeds of cats), as well as Singapura cats (accordingly the smallest breed of cats!).

Photos: @playgroundragdolls/instagram

Due to their small size, Singapura cats tend to still look kittenish even after reaching adulthood and are curious, intelligent and gentle cats, while the Ragdolls are famously known for their dog-like behaviour, being super affectionate and loyal to their family.

PS: If you’re keen to check them out, do note that they are not a cat cafe, and they no longer host play sessions with their cats. Instead, this cattery requires you to make an appointment in advance if you are interested in their kittens as they do not have immediate kittens available and have a waiting list that interested potential cat owners can apply to join.
