They say “good things come in small packages,” and that couldn’t be truer at Singapore’s first-ever DIY doll keychains charm booth, Charm Me Up!
If you haven’t been living under a rock, chances are, you might have spotted the pocket-sized, naked dolls Sonny Angels peeking out of many people’s phones.

Or maybe you’ve encountered glow-in-the-dark, bald figurines named Smiskis in the wild too. Over at Charm Me Up, you get to be the artist to give these blind box figurines and many others are given a complete makeover!
Currently, they man a booth at Curbside Crafters, a space in Kampong Glam.
While they haven’t specified an end date for this booth, don’t stress about missing the magic! They do often run pop-ups at various festivals and markets so just keep a lookout on their social medias for the next pop-up announcement.

You can dress these figurines to the nines, from mini skirts to matching patterned tops and pants. Of course, Charm Me Up is a DIY booth for keychains after all, so take the chance to transform your little statues into portable treasures!
Customisations like colourful beads, charms, and hook clasps are available to make your figurines go from collectible to carry-able companions.

Already have a figurine in mind to dress up? Then you can bring your “naked” figurines to doll them up!
If you’re indecisive (guilty as charged), the endless choices of charms and clothes would mean you’ll be stuck at the booth for hours. But the effort will pay off as you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind doll keychain.
Do note that there are no extra fees for bringing your own (doesn’t that sound great?), so customise away to your heart’s content.

Even the best artists need a little inspiration. You can get your ideas flowing by browsing through the booth’s pre-made dolls.
It’s totally understandable if you don’t want to dress and decorate the dolls yourself. You can also skip the customisation process and purchase any of the ready-made figurine keychains available.

Of course, these figurines originally come from unboxing blind boxes. Want to relive the excitement of the unboxing? Well, you can rejoice as the blind boxes are available for sale too!
So unbox your “chosen one” to get a new figurine friend and get straight to customising if you wish.
If you’re already itching to get crafty at Charm Me Up, do note that the booth will be closed from 29 March 2025 to 1 April 2025. But don’t worry as they will return on 2 April 2025!
So, will you be heading down to charm up your figurines?
