Fans of Studio Ghibli, rejoice! The Story of Studio Ghibli exhibition is opening in Singapore this December. And if you think this sounds familiar – no, this is a different experience from The World of Studio Ghibli, which ended its Singapore run early last year.

This immersive exhibition is even larger, spanning 3,500 square metres and featuring 12 scenes from Studio Ghibli’s beloved animated films. You will experience storytelling brought to life as you walk through life-sized recreations of familiar scenes.

This includes a towering eight-metre bathhouse from Spirited Away, a bus stop under the rain from My Neighbour Totoro, and the Guchokipanya bakery from Kiki’s Delivery Service.

It is a given that visitors and fans alike will leave with many photos taken at this exhibition. However, you can also leave with something more. Purchasing an adult ticket to The Story of Studio Ghibli by 17 December will allow you to redeem a limited-edition Japanese knot bag collectable, while stocks last.
There is also an option to purchase a No Face Fortune Coin Bundle with your ticket so you can bring home a No Face-inspired fortune talisman as a souvenir. For more information on ticket prices and event dates, visit Klook.

We expect many hardcore Studio Ghibli fans are already grabbing their tickets to the experience, so if you’re even mildly interested, book yours as soon as possible. The Story of Studio Ghibli will open to the public from 19 December 2026 at Gardens by the Bay.
