Perhaps you’re also taking time off to spend with your kids and are currently cracking your brains over what you can do with them to maximise this short holiday. Fret not, because we have quite a few ideas for you.
Plan a family outing to Sentosa
Sentosa is a perfect island getaway for the whole family this September holidays. Beyond its usual offerings and attractions, there are also a handful of events to look out for during this period.
A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise Line, which started in June, is ending its run on 20 September 2026. Join an Ice Cream Making Workshop at MOIC
Who doesn’t love ice cream? This September holidays, don’t just bring your kids out to eat ice cream; learn how to make your own too! Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) is bringing back its Ice Cream Making Class for a limited time, especially for the term break.
In fact, classes are only open on 3 days – 7, 9, and 11 September 2026. Each day, only 2 classes will be held, with one at 11am and the other at 2.30pm. These 45-minute sessions will get participants behind the counter, creating their own signature sundaes.
With the help of MOIC’s Scoop Professors, ‘students’ will experiment with classic flavours like chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. As they make ice cream and add on their own toppings, they will also learn about the history and science behind the frozen dessert. At the end of the class, all participants will even receive a Scoop Master Certificate!
This experience is available as part of the Ice Cream Making Class Ticket Bundle (S$63) at MOIC, and is recommended for participants aged 6 and above. The ticket bundle also includes entry to MOIC, which participants can use after the workshop to continue exploring the museum’s multi-sensory installations and treats.

Explore Mandai Wildlife Reserve
If your kids love the wild, the September holidays are the perfect opportunity to immerse them in learning about wildlife and nature! Wild Architects @ Singapore Zoo is a 3-day camp for 7–10 year-olds, where they can explore habitats, animal care, and ecosystem roles.

Dive Into the Ocean at ArtScience Museum
Are your kids fascinated by the ocean and what lies beneath? Take them on the Into the Ocean Kids’ Tour, where they will dive deeper into knowledge about the sea, from surface waters to the darkest depths of the ocean floor.

Get the full National Stadium Experience
The National Stadium Experience is back this month, just in time for the September holidays. If you’d like to go somewhere with many family-friendly activities under one (open) roof, consider visiting the National Stadium on the weekends of 5–6 September 2026 and 12–13 September 2026.

Over the entire month of September, SAFRA will be holding the SAFRA Open House 2026 across all of its 7 clubs. This means that the SAFRA nearest to you could be the perfect spot for a fun family day out during the school holidays.
If you’d like your child to learn more about Singapore’s defence while having fun, get them to participate in a Stamp Quest, where they will explore booths, complete challenges and earn stamps. Gifts can be redeemed with 3 or 6 stamps!

Visit Snow City before it closes
Not travelling this September holidays but wish you were? You can still transport yourself to a cold place and experience real snow one last time in Singapore. As most of us would already know, Snow City Singapore is closing after 26 years of operations since it first opened in 2000.
