Festival of Thrills at Resorts World Sentosa
From 1 September 2026 to 1 November 2026, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is hosting a Festival of Thrills, inviting visitors to unleash the thrill-seeker in them. This season at RWS transforms it into a destination filled with exciting experiences, including gastronomic dining, after-dark adventures, limited-time rewards, and more.
The first that stands out to us is Into the Glowcean, an experience open at Singapore Oceanarium from 5 September 2026 to 1 November 2026. This takes your visit to the Oceanarium to the next level with after-dark moments, allowing you to see the waters and its inhabitants in a new light.
As the name suggests, you will be able to observe glowing marine life sculptures, among other activities like neon-face painting. Into the Glowcean requires a standard admission ticket (S$55 for adults) to the Singapore Oceanarium; for more information on what else to expect, visit the attraction’s website.
The annual Halloween Horror Nights also returns to Universal Studios Singapore as part of Festival of Thrills. For some, getting a good scare is the best kind of ‘thrill’, so you can totally look forward to this if it’s your vibe.

Beyond the two events mentioned, RWS’s Festival of Thrills expands to equally thrilling activities related to food and shopping too. From games at WEAVE that allow you to earn retail rewards to a new Free-flow Brunch at Moutarde, there’s much to discover across the resort.

Sanrio characters Moonlit Garden at VivoCity
While RWS prepares for its Festival of Thrills, the nearby VivoCity is also buzzing with Mid-Autumn festivities. If you’re a fan of Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll, you will definitely have lots of fun here.
That is because the shopping destination has transformed into a Sanrio-themed land, with a Moonlit Garden and Kuromi Carnival Kingdom. Located at the Sky Park at Level 3, you will find towering character displays and light installations you’d love to have photos with.
There are also carnival games (S$10 each) you can play for a chance to win cute prizes, and a Mini Express Train ride (S$10) you can take, which will also give you an exclusive Sanrio Sticker Set.

You’ve probably heard of maker’s markets and flea markets before, but what about a massive market held within our National Stadium? You heard it right – the AL!VE Artisans Market brings together 30 curated brands for 2 weekends as part of the National Stadium Experience.
On 5–6 September 2026 and 12–13 September 2026, you can head down to the National Stadium to explore handcrafted goods and unique creations from artisan brands. Common Rare Market
Since we’re on the topic of markets, here’s another one to look forward to. Common Rare Market is making its debut in Singapore from 18 to 20 September 2026.
Over 200 independent original brands (fashion, lifestyle, homeware, design objects, Indie Print, F&B, and so much more) are participating, with more than 100 overseas brands from Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul, and Shanghai, to name a few.
There’ll also be a special collaboration with Streething, Green-house, and Sundae Kids Pop-up, making it an excellent opportunity to discover and see things on-site.
Beyond shopping, the market will feature art exhibitions, live music performances, hands-on workshops, and a selection of food and beverages (PPP Coffee, Tofu G, Hello Arigato, Khao, etc.) available throughout the event. Pawrents may also bring along their furry companions either on a leash or in a carrier!

Baybeats 2026
Fans of indie rock and alternative music, unite! From 3 to 6 September 2026, Baybeats 2026 will take place at locations around Esplanade, shining light on independent bands and musicians from Singapore, the region, and beyond.
Baybeats is the biggest alternative music festival in Singapore, and is celebrating its 25th edition this year, featuring 47 bands across five stages over four days. Witness emerging acts and international artists, as they take the stage and give everyone a rocking good time.

Lilytopia at Gardens by the Bay
For all of you flower lovers, your eyes are in for a treat this September. Gardens by the Bay’s first Ancient Egypt-themed floral display has arrived. Lilytopia at Flower Dome invites you to wander through Nile-fed gardens, vivid temple settings, and lilies in every colour.
This includes the rare Egyptian Blue Lotus, once buried alongside pharaohs. This limited-time flower exhibition started on 21 August 2026 and runs for only a month, until 27 September 2026.

Singapore River Festival 2026
Returning for its 10th edition, the Singapore River Festival 2026 is a celebration of the people, places, and stories that have defined the Singapore River. Dubbed The Quay Collective, this event which will take place from 11 to 20 September 2026, is bringing together immersive experiences, performances, and activities around the Singapore River vicinity.
The festival will take place across 3 zones: the Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay,
Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, and Lifestyle & Wellness Zone @ Robertson Quay. Each of these locations will bring its own flavour and energy, breathing extra life into the area over 10 days.
For instance, at the Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay, visitors can transport themselves through time with The River Echo Chambers, a captivating 8-minute projection show on heritage shophouse facades. Through ‘portals’, cinematic visuals, and an original soundtrack, you will journey through the past, present, and future of the Singapore River.
At the Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, another immersive experience featuring lights, colours, and sound will also come alive. Located at Read Bridge, The River Rhapsody even allows festivalgoers to influence the show with gestures and motions.

Avengers Endgame: Encore
The most anticipated movie in the rest of 2026 is probably Avengers: Doomsday. The Avengers movie – the first in 7 years – will be released on 17 December 2026 here in Singapore.
And there is no better time to prepare for it than in September, because Marvel has announced that it will bring the last Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame, back to theatres on 24 September 2026.
Titled ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’, this seems, for the most part, to be Marvel’s way of building excitement for Avengers: Doomsday, while reconnecting audiences to the movie franchise. This is especially for those who have yet to catch up with the series since 2019’s Endgame or are new to the MCU.
This re-release of Endgame will be shown in IMAX and Infinity Vision screens, and give audiences exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday early. For me, this is definitely an experience worth going to the theatre again for.

Apple Event
When it comes to tech, there is another event that many of us are waiting for. Every year in September, Apple takes the stage to announce their new generation of iPhones. And this year, it’s no different.
For Singaporeans who can’t wait to upgrade your iPhones, you can tune in to the next Apple Event on 10 September at 1am, via Apple’s website, TV app, or YouTube channel. This will be new Apple CEO John Ternus’ first time headlining the show, and it is expected that the tech giant will unveil the iPhone 18 series, including a new foldable iPhone.
