It’s been four years, and football (or soccer) fans are finally gearing up for the return of FIFA World Cup 2022, the greatest and most prestigious football tournament in the world.
With 32 teams competing across 64 matches in Doha, Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022 (the first time the World Cup has ever taken place outside May, June, or July), you can definitely expect this season to be a particularly exhilarating one.

On top of the free screenings, the People’s Association will also be hosting fringe activities for residents to fully immerse themselves in the football fever atmosphere, such as E-sports console games, various sports try-outs, mini-football challenges, Subbuteo and Foosball table games, alongside live performances and prize giveaways.

ActiveSG Sports Centres
The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador on 21 November 2022 will be screened at the following ActiveSG Sports Centres. Selected football matches will also be screened at the Singapore Sports Hub in December 2022.

National Library Building
According to a press release by the People’s Association, there will also be screenings at the National Library Building on Victoria Street on 17 and 18 December 2022, which will include the much-anticipated final match.
SAFRA Clubs
You can also catch complimentary live screenings of selected matches at all SAFRA clubhouses during the SAFRA Football Bonanza 2022, taking place from 21 November to 18 December 2022. There will also be fun football fringe activities and even football matchup boards so that you can keep up with all the action.

Changi Airport ST3PS
If you’re on the lookout for a comfortable spot to catch the world’s most prestigious football tournament, you can head down to Changi Airport Terminal 3 Basement 2 at ST3PS from 20 November 2022 onwards and enjoy free screenings on the ultra-high definition LED screen.

If you’ve ever wanted to cheer for your favourite teams in an iconic heritage food hall, you can now do so at Football Fiesta @ Lau Pa Sat, which will see selected FIFA World Cup football games screened live on a mega 130-inch LED screen, alongside an array of delectable local food (look out for F&B promotions!), live band performances and a gamut of fun offerings.
Downtown East
Downtown East will also be joining in on the fun with free screenings of over 25 matches at its Kick Off World Cup Fever event, so grab your friends, immerse yourself in a sea of football fans, and enjoy the fiesta together at E!Avenue’s Event Square.
