We all love a good movie, but a trip to the cinema tends to be rather pricey nowadays. Thankfully, Changi Airport’s free movie screenings are back, so you can once again catch popular blockbusters at the amphitheatre in Terminal 3.
Movies will be screened every day from 10am to 10pm, with the exception of specific timings when live performances and sports telecasts are on. If you’re wondering what kind of movies will be played, the film line-up changes regularly to follow the theme of the week — which means there’ll always be something new for you to catch.
This week’s theme is The Great Adventure, and features 18 different movies, including How to Train Your Dragon, National Treasure, and Jurassic World. So depending on when you’d like to catch a movie here, keep an eye on their website, where they’ll update the screening schedule every week!
The films will be screened at ST3PS, a communal amphitheatre located at basement 2 of Terminal 3. Chill out on the comfortable bean bags and seats, and enjoy the movie on an ultra-high-definition LED screen. It won’t be your typical cinema experience, but it definitely has its perks!
For one, you’re free to buy food from the surrounding shops to snack on as you watch the movies. We love our usual popcorn and nachos, but it’ll definitely be nice to switch them out for something from the nearby Matchaya, Tai Cheong Bakery, or CHICHA San Chen instead for a change.
Plus, ST3PS also has live performances every Saturday evening that you can catch after your movie — including music performances by various local artistes.
So the next time you visit Changi Airport, here’s one more activity you can add to the list of cool things to do there!
PS. There’s also a nostalgic IG-worthy pop-up gallery that you can visit at Terminal 3 right now as part of the Hello, Changi Precinct event!
