Enjoy unique frozen yogurt cubes in interesting flavours like sea salt lemon, cempedak, MSW durian & more from this hidden dessert store

The weather in Singapore lately has been pretty insane with temperatures reaching as high as 32 or 33 degrees. On days like this, I tend to crave something nice and cool, like ice cream or frozen yogurt. I recently stumbled upon this little dessert shop, Froyo Desserts (Fro~Yo!), in Yew Tee that serves your regular cup of froyo with a little twist  — in cubes.

Hidden away in Yew Tee Point, Fro~yo! serves frozen yogurt cubes in unique and interesting flavours like Sea Salt Lemon, Cherry, Cempedak and more. They’ve also got your classic flavours like Peach, Mango, Strawberry, and Mixed Berries. Each yogurt cube comes complete with toppings like nuts and raisins — pretty much what you would get from a froyo cup but in a cube form.

The yogurt cubes are affordably priced from just S$4.80 for the Petite serving (two cubes), S$6.50 for the medium serving (three cubes) and $8.50 for the large serving (four cubes). If you’re having a party, you can always get the party pack (eight cubes) for just S$15.80

I personally am a huge fan of peach yogurt so naturally I had to give that one a go. The peach flavour was just the right amount of sweetness and complemented the light sourness of the yogurt base. It checks all the right boxes for the perfect peach yogurt.

If you’re looking for something that packs a strong zing to it, the Sea Salt Lemon is definitely the way to go. The yogurt bar comes topped with a lemon slice to complete its summer-time look. The sea salt taste is quite muted but the lemon really hits. If you’re a lover of all things sour, this one is certainly right up your alley.

The matcha cube kinda fell short for me. As with most matcha desserts, it comes complete with red bean but maybe matcha and yogurt just isn’t the best combo. Another one that didn’t quite make the cut for me was the MSW durian cube. The strong flavour from the durian and the sourness from the yogurt didn’t blend well together. Props to them for using the actual MSW fruit, though, as the yogurt featured bits of durian flesh.

Apart from frozen yogurt cubes, you can also get your fill of gelato here too. The gelato come in equally interesting flavours like Taro, Avocado, Soursop with Cranberries, Ondeh Ondeh, and Unicorn Vanilla. You can pair your gelato scoops with fresh fruits or a bubble waffle which comes in Earl Grey Lavender or Buttermilk

If you’re in the area, you can also stop by for some coffee or tea, or even other desserts like the chocolate lava cake, soft serve, or even one of their specialty yogurt — in a cup, of course.

Need something to cool off from the heat? Give these unique frozen yogurt cubes a go!
