If you’re a festival fanatic, this returning one needs no introduction.
Here to turn up the beats and the heat, it’s Singapore’s biggest music and food festival, GastroBeats 2025!
Happening alongside i Light Singapore 2025, here’s the deets on the eats to devour and the experiences to savour.
Just like the music, 42 food stalls take center stage.
We started with Korean corn dogs. But let’s just say these are anything but conventional. Rather, they’re a little crazy.
From the extreme Buldak Ramen Corndog (S$9) to Super Ring Corndog (S$9), whatever flavour you can think of, Kwazy Korndog does it.
We tried the GastroBeats-exclusive flavour, Milky Mantou Corndog (S$9).
I couldn’t help but drool when I saw that golden batter dripping with condensed milk. And yes, you can judge this book by its cover — it was as delicious as it looked.
You can’t go wrong with the mantou and batter’s crispy-on-crispy action. Combined with sausage and cheese, it’s savoury-sweet perfection.
What The Puff made us go WTP for its 2 Cheesy 4 U Curry Puff (S$6), a cheesy twist on this local favourite.
If you don’t believe it’s that cheesy, put it to the test with their Cheese Pull Challenge. Individuals with the longest cheese pull each week can win prizes.
Another rather astronomical bite is Kowboy. While they’re known for their UFO-shaped burgers, they’ve launched a new item at GastroBeats 2025 — Kowboy Astro Capture Wand (S$4/S$5 with Chocolate/Strawberry).
This egg roll skewer will capture your heart with its fluffiness, while their burgers’ tender meat will win you over.
Need a thirst quencher? Warabimochi Kamakura came in clutch with the GastroBeat-exclusive Kinako Strawberry Royale (Special) (S$13.90/S$15.90) and the Kinako Hokkaido Milk Warabimochi Drink (S$10.90/S$12.90).
Having to chew and chug them, these are drinks and desserts in one. Get the strawberry version for a sweet and nutty contrast.
For something more filling, try No Time Hot Pot, which has adopted a pirate concept. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get Captain’s Anyhow, the only hot pot cup. Thus, the next best thing was the GastroBeats-exclusive Curse of the Chilly Noodle (S$12.80).
Sadly, the cold noodles weren’t outstanding. However, we’re glad to report our tongues didn’t have to walk the plank as it wasn’t spicy like their hot pot in a cup.
This is only a small taste of GastroBeats 2025’s full spread so you’ll have to try the rest for yourself.
Entertainment-wise, from the Coca-Cola Food Fest booth to the Somersby Escape Garden and iClaw Taiwan, the choices are endless. Shop till you drop at the Retail & Marketplace too, at brands like The Wicker Club, The Cat Inspired, and The Fragrance Lab.
Of the many entertainment options, these are our two highlights.
Brought to you by Solace Studios, Solace Diner is Singapore’s first American diner-inspired self-photo booth concept.
Choose from four photo booths — Diner Table High Angle, Diner Table Front View, Bar Counter, and Diner Table Side View.
Aside from the various photo angles, 15 retro-frame designs, and three photo strip sizes are available.
The sizes include photo strips (S$10 for two strips), multiframe photos (S$12 for two pieces), and the mega strip (S$20).
The last option will turn heads, as it doubles a regular photo strip length and is big enough to be a mini wall tapestry.
Another photo and activity corner is Rewind. Replay. Remix: SG Edition (R3) (S$19.90). This immersive experience takes you through zones representing iconic musical eras, so dress up for the occasion.
Other highlights include the interactive dance floors and photo spots, a live DJ, and arcade game machines.
