Everybody’s favourite light art installation, i Light Singapore, is back! This year, Asia’s leading light festival is anchored on the theme To Gather, featuring a fresh lineup of 17 light art installations.

From 29 May 2025 to 21 June 2025, the Festival is here with installations along Marina Bay and South Beach. For the first time, there will also be exhibits along the Singapore River and Raffles Place.

We had the opportunity to check out the displays for ourselves, and this route took us about two hours at a relaxing pace (including ample time for photo-taking and chatting).

Starting from Cavenagh Bridge, this path takes you on a scenic tour that ends at the Event Square outside Marina Bay Sands:

  • Bridge of 1000 Dreams (Cavenagh Bridge)
  • Reverse Waterfall (UOB Plaza Facade)
  • The Guardians (Raffles Place Park)
  • Elementary (Clifford Square)
  • Take a walk through the meadow with me (Lawn beside NTUC building)
  • Sign (The Promontory at Marina Bay)
  • In Tandem (Breeze Shelters)
  • VJYourself! (Entrance of Marina Bay Link Mall)
  • Fantastic Planet – Comfort (Waterfront Parade)
  • Fantastic Planet – Over (Red Dot Design Museum)
  • Fantastic Planet – What’s That (Mist Walk)
  • Urban Oracle (Pontoon near Red Dot Design Museum)
  • Embrace (Event Square)
  • Piano Walk (Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza)
  • Mozart (Helix Bridge)

Unfortunately, the last two installations, South Beach and This is Not a Screen at South Beach Avenue, are not part of the route. If you have time on your hands, head over to Esplanade MRT so you get the full experience.

P.S. GastroBeats is happening at the same time outside Marina Bay Sands, so this trail allows you to end your night on a high with good food and music.

I don’t want to spoil too much, so here’s a run-through of our favourite light installations.

Although the Bridge of 1000 Dreams looks underwhelming from a distance, the real magic happens when you’re up close and personal.

Spend a minute (or ten) admiring the one thousand bamboo sticks glowing in the dark, each with different inscriptions.

One of my favourites was The Guardians, an immersive landscape of vibrant inflatable sculptures with tropical illustrations.

Live out your mystical fairy dreams in Take a walk through the meadow with me, where multi-coloured flowers light up with music as you walk past them.

Get creative and strike your best pose at VJYourself!, where your actions are transformed into a new choreography.

You can’t miss Fantastic Planet, featuring three larger-than-life, humanoid figures towering over you.

They may look cute from a distance (we felt a strong urge to poke the displays), but it’s a little unnerving how big they actually are as you get closer.

Is that a fire burning in the back? No, just a spectacular illusion of flames. Even from a distance, Sign mimics a large, blazing campfire.

While you’re there, take a quick break at Campfyre @ NOMADS, where you can relax on camping chairs beneath twinkling fairy lights.

Light bites and drinks will be on sale, so grab a spot to soak up the gorgeous cityscape view. We cooled down with ice cream, banana cake, and caramelised bananas.

Afterwards, link hands with life-sized silhouettes at Embrace. Invite strangers to form a full circle with you, so you can see the rainbow lights.

Singapore’s weather has truly taken a turn for the worse, so we recommend dressing and packing lightly for your night walk (we were sweating nonstop the entire time).

If you don’t want to walk, experience the illuminated artworks on water through the River Cruise Shuttle Service instead. Prices range between S$6 and S$18, and more information can be found here

Will you be brightening your night (literally) with the stunning light installations at i Light Singapore 2025?
