Halloween Horror Nights are legendary. How many gangs of friends have ganged together to brave the dark unknown and lived with epic tales and memories? Alas, the event had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic— but Halloween Horror Nights are returning to Singapore in 2021. Kinda.
As you’ll expect, with the need for social distancing, Universal Studios Singapore (USS) aren’t pushing ahead with their usual haunted houses to scare the lights out of you.
But hang on, Halloween Horror Nights 2021 aren’t completely cancelled. You can still get your dose of Halloween-related spooky fun at USS from now till Nov 7. Guests will instead get to experience the first-ever exhibition on the popular event in this year’s Trick or Thrills 2021.
You can’t replace the adrenaline-pumping runs of previous years but it’s still worth taking a tour through the Halloween Horror Nights Exhibition open from 10 Sep 2021 to 7 Nov 2021. Horror junkies get to revisit their favourite scares such as the twisted clowns and nagas — you’d probably still wet your pants from the memories.
Take a good look at the terrifying props and gruesome installations on display, and get chills sent down your spine reading on the arcane secrets in the behind-the-scenes of the events. The exhibition is not recommended for anyone under the age of 16 and advance booking is required, you can make your reservations here.
If you’re not one for Halloween Horror Nights, then head down for trick or treating with the 2021 return of Trail of Treats. Those with tots will find themselves chasing after the Candy Ambassadors for special treats — fret not, they can be found all over the park.
Of course, don’t miss out on the meet and greet with the most loveable characters which include the mischievous Minions dressed in monster costumes.
Those who head down on Friday and Saturday evenings as the rays of the sun are dying down will also run into monsters such as the Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein.
You can find them lurking in the shadows at the Universal Monsters Scream Alley waiting to pounce on any unsuspecting passersby. A nice alternative for Halloween Horror Nights 2021 — you can even try to catch Dracula in a chilling wefie.
To replenish all the blood you’d probably lose from your Dracula encounter, you can head down to KT’s Grill for their Die-ning with the Dead experience every Friday and Saturday, an immersive Halloween-themed course meal that is to die for.
