Self-photo studios and photobooths (which need no introduction) are having a moment, and it looks like they’re here to stay.
So, if you’re all about capturing memories during weekend outings with your boo or besties around City Hall? It’s high time you made plans to check out one of the newest kids on the block, Hana Film.
Hana Film, which officially opened on 1 May 2023 in Citylink Mall, sports a clean and minimalist blue-and-white interior, not unlike the unmanned self-photo studios you see all over South Korea.
Like most photobooth concepts in Singapore, there are three different photo types to choose from — Strips (S$10 for two copies), Multi-Cut (S$10 per copy), and ID Photo (S$10 per copy), all of which come with free soft copies and transparent photo pouches.
Those visiting in a larger group can get additional copies priced at S$2 each.
You can choose to spice up your photos with an assortment of props, ranging from adorable animal-themed hairbands to wacky sunglasses.
Just be sure to return them to the proper racks after use — why spoil the fun for others?
If you’re worried about having a bad hair day, don’t fret, for the studio is also equipped with a dedicated styling station, complete with a free-to-use hair straightener (that gets sanitised regularly) for those much-needed touch-ups.
Each photobooth also boasts a massive mirror, so you can practise posing and check your hair (or makeup) before each shot.
And of course, you’ve got a wide selection of frame designs in varying shades of white, blue, black, and pink to choose from, so go crazy!
Hana Film operates on a walk-in-only basis till 11pm daily, so be prepared to queue, especially on weekends.
So, if you and your friends are up for a Korean-inspired photobooth experience that won’t break the bank, a trip to Citylink Mall this week is a must!
