We have a pretty extensive selection of bars and pubs in Singapore, but it’s honestly never enough. The latest addition to our exciting nightlife scene is the popular Chinese pub chain Helen’s. Opening in May 2023, the Orchard Central outlet will be the chain’s first outlet in Singapore.
Helen’s first announced their opening on social media platform RED. To date, they already have over 700 stores in 150 cities under their belt, so this latest addition will be the brand’s first foray into Singapore.
Here, you can expect to enjoy some unique concoctions and signature snacks at affordable prices. Some of these unique creations include the Signature Milk Beer, Coca-Cola bucket, as well as a selection of fruit beer.
If you’re only there for one drink (though that’s a little hard to believe), go for the Signature Milk Beer which is similar to a milk calpis — slightly sweet, sour, and milky with a low alcohol content. The Coca-Cola bucket on the other hand is a sweet mix of whiskey and coke which will get you feeling woozy much quicker. For something a little more refreshing, you can go with one of their fruit beers.
The pub has their own selection of bar snacks which are great for sharing. But what’s also interesting is that they also allow you to bring in your own snacks to enjoy. Pair them with your drinks to make the night even more enjoyable!
Unlike most pubs which have a more European-style interior, Helen’s sports a slightly different decor — think a dimly-lit restaurant with lots of neon light accents. According to the website, the interior is designed in a mix of Southeast, European, and Tuscan style which gives it an avant-garde medieval aesthetic. But, as avant-garde as it may seem, there’s no denying that it looks like a great place to unwind with friends.
To celebrate it’s grand opening, Helen’s is currently offering free-flow beer from 7pm to 10pm until 20 May. That’s not all, from 10pm to 2am, Helen’s will be giving away cash vouchers to match the amount you spent! Check out their Instagram for more details. BRB as I make my reservation for tonight.
