Changi Airport is back with another line-up of interesting events, and this time, the focus is on the entire Changi precinct, which includes areas surrounding the airport such as Pasir Ris, Tampines, and Bedok. With a nostalgic pop-up gallery, guided tours, and craft workshops, Hello, Changi Precinct is the new event in town to check out.
Step into the pop-up gallery at Terminal 3 for a colourful, nostalgic exploration of Changi. Snap a few pictures against the vibrant backdrop of an old-school barbershop in Siglap, have a go at a digital arcade game, and play around at the watermelon playground — a familiar structure that’ll bring you back to the days of your childhood.
As you make your way through the interactive gallery’s seven zones, you’ll also discover fun facts and interesting stories about the different precincts.
And if you’ve ever been curious about the inner workings of Changi Airport, feel free to join the My Changi Airport Tour. As the tour takes you through the airport’s recreational spaces, artwork installations, designs, and heritage businesses, you’ll uncover stories from generations of staff, travellers, and visitors.
Besides touring Changi Airport, the event line-up also includes heritage tours that bring you around other areas in the Changi precinct, such as Bedok, Changi Village, Pasir Ris, Siglap, Tampines, and surprisingly, Pulau Ubin. Prices for the tours start at S$20.
Alternatively, for those who prefer more hands-on activities, there will also be a series of specially curated craft workshops in September, where you’ll get to learn traditional crafts from skilled craftsmen in the precinct.
