It’s safe to say that Gardens by the Bay have never disappointed with the exhibitions that they’ve organised throughout the years like Avatar: The Experience, Pokémon GO Safari Zone and my personal favourite, the Rose Romance.
That is why I’m excited to share that you’ll be able to catch a first-of-its-kind picturesque immersive exhibition soon. Inspired by Claude Monet — the French artist and founder of impressionist painting — Impressions of Monet will be held from 12 July to 15 September 2024.
This mesmerising exhibition will be split into two aspects — The Garden and The Experience.
Regardless of whether you’re an art buff or not, you’ll definitely come to appreciate the timeless beauty of Monet’s artworks and chronicles of his life when you’re there!
You might’ve heard (or seen) Monet’s iconic pink house or the Clos Normand (flower garden) and water garden if you simply search up his name. Step into his shoes as The Garden recreates the tranquil landscapes of Monet’s home in Giverny, France — that became the subject of many of his paintings.
It boasts an alluring floral display of water lilies, hydrangeas, weeping willows and much more, including the Japanese bridge, which made an appearance in The Water Lily Pond painting.
If witnessing his house isn’t enough, you’ll get to enter the front facade of the Monet’s house which leads to The Experience. Honestly, I’m more excited for this as it promises a stunning display of famous inspirational paintings through a multi-sensory immersion.
You’ll get to indulge your senses through a rich, dynamic display of light, colour, sound and fragrance that brings to life the Impressionist movement. Witness the breathtaking surreal paintings projected on an enormous scale to feel like you’re part of it as well!
Currently, tickets for the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome go for S$12 (child), S$15 (senior), and S$20 (adult) for Singaporeans.
If you’re planning to visit Singapore, tickets for travelers are priced at S$18 (child) and S$32 (adult). However, the exact ticket prices for the Monet exhibition have yet to be released so keep an eye out for more details!
With more art festivals and shows popping up, we’re definitely spoiled for choices this 2024!
