At 1am Singapore time on 10 September 2026, I tuned in to the Apple Event with around 3 million other viewers on the Apple YouTube channel. The highly anticipated tech event would be new Apple CEO John Ternus’ first time leading the introduction of the company’s latest products.
Like past September Apple Events, the focus is on unveiling the next line of iPhones. And this year, we have the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the new, foldable iPhone Duo. The standard iPhone 18 was missing from the lineup, though, and is expected to debut in 2027.
Apple definitely delivered in its presentation with top-notch production, but what about the actual products? Well, certain upgrades stood out – albeit pretty pricey ones. Keep reading for all the key information you need on Apple’s newest iPhones. All details listed are in Singapore dollars (SGD) and Singapore Time (SGT).
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in 4 colours – the familiar Black and Silver, and the new Glacier and Burgundy. Prices for the iPhone 18 Pro start at S$1,899, and S$2,099 for its Pro Max variants.
There are 2TB storage options for both phones, topping out their prices at S$3,699 and S$3,899 this year for those who want to max out their upgrades.

Cameras
iPhone’s cameras have always been impressive, especially when it comes to the Pro phones. However, this year’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have blurred the lines between professional cameras and smartphone cameras even further with the introduction of variable aperture.
Aperture refers to how much light can enter a camera lens and into the sensor. Now, this is something you can control on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, allowing you to take better low-light photos and adjust depth of field.
6 actual laser-cut blades on the new iPhone 18 Pro camera lens will also open and close automatically by default, transitioning between different apertures based on the scenario. Combine this with new Pro controls such as shutter speed, white balance, texture, and grain, and you’ll be able to produce beautiful, detailed photos with ease.

iPhone Duo
Design & Price
The iPhone 18 Pro is great, but the main conversation right now is about the iPhone Duo. It is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, marking the tech giant’s foray into foldable phones after years of its competitors releasing their versions.
One of the best features of the iPhone Duo is arguably its design, which is just peak Apple. The transition from the smaller 5.4-inch outer display to the larger 7.6-inch inner display as the phone opens up is something else.
And so is the price. As expected from Apple, the iPhone Duo’s premium experience is available for those who can fork out a hefty fee, starting from S$3,099 here in Singapore. Going for the maximum storage capacity (2TB) will cost you S$4,899.
The iPhone Duo is the result of marrying the best in hardware and software, but whether it’s worth your money is entirely up to you. The foldable is available in Star White and Night Sky finishes.

Notable features
The main reason you would get an iPhone Duo is its versatility. On the software side of things, iOS 27’s fluid Liquid Glass elements move into place seamlessly regardless of the phone’s orientation. On the hardware side, having both an outer display and inner display also opens up many possibilities and new ways of using your phone.
You can even use the iPhone Duo partially folded, turning it into a standing display, a table clock, and more. The only part of the iPhone Duo that is less advanced than the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is the Camera.
