2022 really is the year that keeps on giving. Concerts are finally making a comeback, and adding on to the mix is Singapore’s very own JJ Lin, who recently announced his upcoming concert world tour on social media.
The singer-songwriter last performed here in November 2021, holding a charity concert titled JJ Lin “After The Rain” A Charity Live Special.
At the time of writing, details about his concert world tour have yet to be released, but it’s safe to assume that this will probably be a celebration for JJ Lin, as he is hitting his 20-year milestone in the music industry. The name JJ20 World Tour 2022 speaks for itself, but the announcement itself was merely a teaser of what fans can expect. Why so vague, JJ?
Additionally, if you think this concert sounds familiar, that’s because Mandopop King Jay Chou also recently announced his 20-year anniversary concert world tour, which will similarly be held in Singapore.
I’ve been an avid listener of Mandopop since my MSN days, and I’m really stoked just thinking about being able to sway along and belt out my favourite hits of all-time like Jiang Nan and Doujiang Youtiao with everyone in the concert halls when the long-awaited day finally arrives.
To hype up the upcoming concert world tour, the singer has also captioned his social media posts with #roadtoJJ20, so make sure to keep an eye on the hashtag if you want first dibs on all the latest details.
So far, only the promotional poster is out so it might be best to keep a lookout online for the release of important information like dates and ticket prices. The #roadtoJJ20 may be a long one, but I can hardly wait.
