Something more exciting than Christmas is just right around the corner for us anime fans — Anime Festival Asia (AFA) Singapore 2023! AFA Singapore 2023 is bringing the big guns out for their 15th anniversary this year, including a new JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience and HoYo FEST.

Crunchyroll, the major anime streaming platform for worldwide viewers, has just recently announced that they will be sponsoring AFA SG as a bid to deepen connections with anime fans and viewers in Southeast Asia.

It’s one of their first sponsorships in the region, and with that comes the JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience; more firsthand information on anime events; and an electrifying SACRA Music Festival!

Following the small Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition at Plaza Singapura and a themed pop-up cafe with ANIPLUS in 2022, we now have the chance to experience iconic moments from the hit series at AFA Singapore in an immersive exhibition. I’m not spoiling it though — you’ll have to head down to the JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience yourself at Suntec Convention Centre.

The SACRA Music Festival will feature heavyweight artistes from the eponymous record label, including FLOW, who are known for their opening songs “GO!!!” and “Sign” in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. You might also know ASCA, the voice behind the banger opening song “RESISTER” from Sword Art Online: Alicization.

halca, spira spica and Nami Tamaki (whom I’ve been a fan of since her openings for Gundam SEED) will also be making their appearance on stage. Here’s to hoping that Crunchyroll continues sponsoring more SACRA Music Festivals so I can get to see LiSA, Aimer and EGOIST in Singapore again.

Before the SACRA Music Festival begins on 26 November, there’s another booth you have to visit: HoYo FEST 2023! Instead of being a standalone event like previous years, HoYo Fest 2023 is collaborating with AFA to bring all six HoYoverse titles together for the first time at Booth D01.

That’s right, it’s a party of all your favourite games! Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis and their upcoming title, Zenless Zone Zero will have their own areas, complete with demo gameplay opportunities, interactive activities, quiz game shows and more.

It’s said that Genshin Impact’s exclusive area is a recreation of Mondstadt’s scenery, and the Honkai: Star Rail area will showcase the Xianzhou Luofu. You can also get a sneak peek of Zenless Zone Zero’s gameplay and story at their demo section.

There’s an update you might have missed as well — the VTuber Kureiji Ollie from hololive Indonesia (ID) is making a special appearance on the 25th November Day Stage together with her mama (character artist and designer), LAM. If you weren’t able to snag a ticket to the AFA x Hololive Meet, this is your chance to meet the chaotic Zombie Idol.

Plus, you’ll get to meet renowned anime voice actresses Ai Kayano, Sumire Uesaka and Uchiyama Yumi on the 25th November Day Stage as well.

Tickets are still available here, though they are selling out fast.

Fastest fingers will win the race to the JUJUTSU KAISEN Experience and the chance to meet Ollie at AFA Singapore 2023!
