We can never get enough of food fairs, festivals, and markets, even more so if they’re being held at the shopping malls we frequent!
Come 28 August, Westies can look forward to sampling street food from all over the world at Jurong Point and its Food Feastival.
Although you can keep an eye out for live demonstrations, food challenges, and lucky draws at this food-filled extravanagza that will be held all the way till 15 October, it’s the Feastival Fair we’re most excited about.
The food fair will be taking place from 28 August to 10 September 2023, showcasing over 20 stalls selling street foods from Japan, Thailand, China, Malaysia and the US.
You can look forward to an interesting range of trendy yet tasty delights, with highlights like the viral Korean coin-shaped pancake filled with gooey and stretchy cheese from 2 Ninja 1 Fatty, as well as the quirky UFO Burgers from Rosti Haus.
Spice fanatics will get a kick out of the handy mala in the cup filled with DIY ingredients and handmade soup bases from Mala Cup while those who enjoy street food classics can hit up Potato Queen for their assorted Tornado Potato.
Unsurprisingly, there will also be plenty of eats from the Land of the Rising Sun, like Hokkaido Croquettes from Ramen Shiba and grilled wagyu skewers from Niku Master.
Those with a sweet tooth need not fear, for they’ll get to indulge in decadent desserts like Cinnabon’s famed cinnamon rolls (if you haven’t already gotten your hands on them), which I’ve yet to see at a food fair.
Other delightful treats include the likes of airy souffle pancakes and Basque burnt cheesecake from SweeT.Rex, handmade snowball mochi by Xiao Gege, and buttery Hong Kong-style pastries from Hang Heung.
Will you be heading down to Jurong Point to fill up on street food at this limited-time food fair?
