If you’re trying to find a new hangout spot with awesome ambience, great food and even greater prices, you probably want to check out Kamikaze Asian Tapas Bar at Dhoby Ghaut.
Located in GR.iD, the bar serves up an array of unique Asian fusion dishes ranging from Japanese to Korean, Thai and more, so it’s basically like a one-stop place for all your cravings — and the alfresco dining experience makes for a really great ambience too.
Dig into a hearty bowl of Spicy Basil Minced Pork Pasta (S$9.90), Honey Chicken Don with Onsen Egg (S$9.90), Rose Ramyun (S$10.90) and many other indulgent mains. For something soupy and spicy, try the Tomyam Mama Pot (S$13.90) or Korean Budae Jiggae Ramyun with Onsen Egg (S$10.90) — the options are almost endless.
If you’re a mala lover, there’s even Mala Fragrant Pot (S$13.90) on the menu and you’ll be able to choose between chicken, pork or beef for it.
The skewers are a must-order there, with each skewer only costing you S$0.90. For this, you’ll find all your loklok/skewer classics, and maybe even a couple of more adventurous picks like chicken heart and more.
If you’re looking to splurge a little bit more, there are premium skewers available from S$1.90 including items like quail eggs wrapped in bacon, fresh prawns and more.
While you’re there, you’ll also probably see that many people have adorable little ferris wheels on their tables — these contain five flavours of fries (cheese, mala, wasabi, salted egg and seaweed) at S$15.90, perfect for those who can’t decide which flavour to go for!
The next time you’re looking for a casual place to hang out with your friends, check out this all-encompassing bar at Dhoby Ghaut!
