In case you missed the sad news, KFC Singapore is out of French Fries…again

Excuse me while I mourn the departure of one of my favourite things to eat at KFC. Indulging in my fried chicken or BBQ Pockett just won’t be the same without my gloriously cheesy Cheese Fries.

However, while the fries are away on “annual leave to find themselves” for an unspecified period of time, they will thankfully be back eventually. During this period of time, we can still enjoy potatoes at KFC in the form of potato wedges, a temporary replacement for our favourite French Fries’ sides.

Available in three flavours, take your pick from Plain Wedges (S$4.35), Cheese Wedges (S$5.75), and Golden Cheddar Wedges (S$5.75).

And if you haven’t heard, the Golden Cheddar Wedges was first introduced along with the recently launched Mac ‘N Cheese Kentaco available from 27 April 2022!

With a taco shell made of crispy fried chicken surrounding an ooey-gooey mac ‘n cheese centre, happily sink your teeth into KFC’s latest Mac ‘N Cheese Kentaco, and enjoy the Golden Cheddar Wedges on the side too.

This is not the first time KFC’s french fries have been temporarily removed from the menu. Due to a similar “global supply disruption” back in February, the fries were taken off the menu and temporarily replaced with Waffle Hash.

This time around, instead of Waffle Hash, we get to enjoy wedges that are nicely crisp on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. Whether you love fries, wedges, waffle hash or mashed potatoes, potatoes are a staple, and as long as we get to enjoy our potatoes in whichever form they come – we’ll be thankful.
