I don’t know about you, but KFC has been serving up back-to-back bangers lately (admin still can’t get over the adorable Mofusand collaboration). This time, they’re turning up the heat — literally — by teaming up with the iconic Samyang Buldak (Alexa, play HOT by LE SSERAFIM).
From 2 April 2025 to 13 May 2025, this limited-time KFC x Samyang Buldak menu is bringing the legendary fire chicken to your KFC. Fun fact, Buldak actually translates to “fire chicken” in Korean so that’s the history of the iconic mascot.
Anyways, if you’re a fan of spice, now’s the time to plan your visit. Here’s the full breakdown of what’s on the menu.
The first item on the KFC x Samyang Buldak menu is the Samyang Buldak Double Down (S$8.60 for ala carte). Imagine this, KFC’s signature Hot & Crispy Zinger Fillets sandwiching a bed of spicy Samyang Buldak noodles. And, it’s further topped with a slice of cheese and creamy mayonnaise to cool things down.
The spice level was milder than expected (my partner on the other hand was dying from the spice). So, if you’ve got a low spice tolerance, this might be a challenge. But, if you’re like me and love eating Buldak ramen, this sandwich might be a tamer take on the classic fiery noodles.
The Samyang Buldak Chicken (S$9.20 for ala carte) keeps it simple: crispy fried chicken served with a sachet of Samyang Buldak sauce. At its core, it’s just KFC chicken with an added spicy kick, but if you love that signature Buldak fire, it pairs surprisingly well.
Okay, the Samyang Buldak Loaded Fries (S$3.50) was my favourite.
KFC’s golden fries are already top-tier — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — but now they’re drenched in mayonnaise and Samyang Buldak Hot Sauce. The spice hits hard, but the slight sweetness balances it out. If you have a low spice tolerance, proceed with caution!
We also got to try the Kimchi Slaw. This is the first time that KFC has switched up their classic coleslaw, introducing a kimchi-inspired twist. It’s refreshing, but personally, I still prefer the OG. That said, I love that they’re experimenting. Who knows what’s next in line?
