If rooftop bars are your thing, this dreamy poolside paradise in the skies may become your new go-to for tasty tipples, good vibes, and stunning views.

Let’s give it up for Las Palmas, a new Palm Springs-inspired rooftop poolside bar on level 33 of Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena.

With its rooftop-poolside venue, extensive F&B options, and uniquely vibrant theme, Las Palmas is the first of its kind in Singapore. The “vibrant and glamorous escapism bar concept” aims to offer Singaporeans a quick escape to the famed Palm Springs without having to travel out of the country — we do need a respite from the daily grind from time to time, after all.

Reminiscent of the joyful 1960s, the space evokes the glamour and optimism of the mid-century. Unlike other rooftop bars which tend to favour darker hues, sorbet palettes have been incorporated to add a splash of colour, whisking guests off into a whimsical getaway right in the heart of the city.

Soak in the “mid-century modernism in California” vibes of the pastel terrazzo finishings, iconic pieces from renowned photographer Slim Aarons, and a rose quartz bar counter that seamlessly straddles the indoor and outdoor space.

And of course, the breathtaking views of the surrounding cityscape are the cherry on top.

Food-wise, tuck into an all-day menu crafted around classic Americana, Mexican, and Southern Californian dishes with an Asian twist.

You won’t go wrong with traditional Western favourites like the Smokey Paradise (S$18), smokey bourbon-barbecued baby back ribs with cajun corn, and the Juicy Kiss (S$25), or Angus beef brisket. Alternatively, the Clock Out Cluck In ($15) tacos feature buttermilk chicken served with grilled onions and creamy salted egg yolk— super delish.

Instead of the usual cinnamon and white sugar, the dessert Churros (S$13) are accompanied by savoury salted peanut butter, 5-spice sugar, and a locally-inspired kaya dip.

Be transported to the desert saloons and cocktail lounges of 1960s Palm Springs with the selection of West Coast-inspired drinks that are “decidedly familiar and yet somehow different”.

Choose between the refreshingly tart Cosmopolitan-inspired Not-A-Poppy (S$25) and the dairy-free Let’s Irish Up That Coffee (S$25) alongside cocktails named after award-winning films, iconic paintings, and popular locations (Cheesecake Factory, anyone?)
