Who knew biscuits could bring so much rave to Singapore? MilkyShop’s Pop-up proved otherwise at New Bahru’s Factory Block.
Flavours

The signature Butter Sand series features biscuits baked to a golden crisp and filled with a creamy, buttery centre. MilkyShop is featuring 4 flavours – Crème Brûlée, Milk Caramel, Peanut Butter, and Matcha Butter Sand. With a limited drop of 250 boxes per day, each box is priced at S$34 with 8 individually packed pieces, making it a unique gifting option!
Taste Test

Amongst the 4 flavours, the favourite pick was the Crème Brûlée Butter Sand – crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside. The caramelised sugar glaze adds a delicate crunch on top, while the smooth, buttery filling keeps the biscuit rich and moist.

If I had to pick one, it’s the Matcha Butter Sand. Featuring genuine Uji matcha from Japan, each bite delivers a delicate balance of sweetness and bitterness. It’s a great pick for matcha lovers or those who prefer a lighter, less-sweet treat.

The Milk Caramel Butter Sand is heavier on butter and milky sweetness, a good selection for those who enjoy their biscuits on the sweeter end. The Peanut Butter Butter Sand reminds me of our local toast with a slab of butter and peanut butter, without being too overpowering. Thought if you ate all 8 pieces in one sitting, you might be on the highway to getting a sore throat.
Ways to Consume
The storage tip we’ve gotten is to keep them frozen, then thaw in the refrigerator for around 10 minutes before digging in. If you prefer a meltier and silkier filling, let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before munching.
Best to head down early as these tend to sell out fast, so snag yours before they’re gone for the day.
