Most of us would be familiar with Mustafa Centre in Little India for having pretty much anything and everything for very affordable prices. Now, Mustafa has its eyes on going global with plans to open their first-ever flagship store in Johor Bahru in the second half of 2023.
If you thought shopping at Mustafa in Singapore was cheap, just imagine what the prices will be like in Malaysia…
Mustafa Centre will be situated at the massive now-defunct Capital City Mall located just a 20-minute drive from Woodlands checkpoint — you’ll be able to (literally) shop till you drop here! There’s no news on their opening hours yet but hopefully, they’ll also be open 24/7.
Once you’re done shopping for your groceries, toiletries, or knick-knacks, you can head over to Kip Mall Tampoi for a thrifting adventure at Jalan Jalan Japan. The thrift store takes in second-hand items from Japan so be prepared to be amazed at just what unique finds you can get here.
If you are looking for a chill place to rest your feet and fill your tummy after exploring the massive Mustafa Centre, you can head over to aesthetic minimalist cafe The Lightwood by Mues. Located just a 15-minute drive away, you can enjoy baked goods and other hearty mains paired with a nice beverage to rest and recharge for round two of shopping.
The fun doesn’t have to end at Mustafa Centre. You can also head over to Paradigm Mall, located just 10 minutes away, to continue your shopping expedition.
From ice skating, to bouldering, and even playing old-school arcade games – there will never be a dull moment during your time in JB. You can even drop your kids off at the jungle-themed playground while you indulge in some much-needed retail therapy.
