Set Lunch Menu

We tried the Next Door Spanish Cafe’s 3-course Set Lunch Menu for S$29++, available every Friday to Sunday, from 12pm to 2pm

Starting with the Tapas, we had the Croquetas de Calamar en su Tinta (S$12) and Coles de Bruselas (S$15). The homemade squid ink croquettes were crispy on the outside and full of seafood flavour on the inside, like a savoury burst of umami in a ball. The Brussels sprouts were tossed in honey and seasoned with paprika, giving them a mildly sweet and smoky profile.

For mains, we opted for the Callos (S$22), a slow-cooked tripe and chickpea stew with 2 slices of toasted focaccia, bold and rustic flavours, and the Lubina con Patatas (isn’t on the main menu), pan-seared seabass with confit potatoes. Otherwise, can order the Setas Paella (S$30) shared among 2 pax! We left enough space for a sweet treat, and got ourselves the Churros con Chocolate (S$12). Can you imagine? All this goodness for just S$29++!

Ala Carte Menu

If you’re heading over for lunch from Monday to Thursday, or dinner with 2 or more people, there’s a Tapas Bundle where you can order 4 tapas (2 pax) for S$59, 7 tapas (3-4 pax) for S$98, and 10 tapas (5-6 pax) for S$138. The premium selections would have an additional surcharge of either S$6 or S$12

A must-order would be the Pimientos del Padrón (S$15), addictive deep-fried peppers to kick-start the palate; the Croquetas de Espinaca y Piñones (S$11), homemade creamy spinach croquettes; and never skip the Alcachofas con Jamón Ibérico if you’re a fan of artichoke.

Did you really eat Spanish food if you skip the paellas? Don’t forget to indulge in their freshly crafted Fideuà Negra paella (S$38), squid-ink Spanish-style short pasta with calamari plus clams, and the Mary Montana Paella (S$38), a protein wonderland of prawns, clams, and chicken

Do note that the prices are subject to a service charge and GST.
