Ever wonder about the history of Singapore as an island?

At Once Upon a Tide, learn about how the river and sea have greatly influenced the flow of trade and exchange — people, goods, and ideas — and contributed to the growth of our little red dot.

Over 700 years of history are at your fingertips through this interactive exhibit, from now until 9 October 2026.

Before celebrating SG60, get back to the roots of Singapore. This exhibition starts with the nation’s role as a key port settlement within the network of trade.
