If there is one thing you must order, it’s the sashimi. Think thick and fresh slices of Salmon (S$8), Mekajiki (S$12), and Hotate (S$15), which can also be enjoyed in the form of a sashimi don — both the Salmon & Ikura (S$15) and Chirashi 6 Kind (S$12), come highly recommended.

You can choose between sushi rice or “umami” rice, but a lighter, less filling alternative would be the Kaisen Soba (S$13) or Tako & Ebi Soba (S$12).

Curb those sushi cravings with your choice of assorted nigiri, temaki, or gunkan. Top picks include the Salmon Mentai Maki (S$12), Salmon & Ikura (S$8) gunkan, and Soft Shell Crab (S$5) temaki.

You might also smell the aroma of freshly prepared tamagoyaki wafting out from OTOKO TEN TEN; it’s served as a side dish for certain donburi and sushi orders.

Don’t forget to polish off a plate of plump Japan Oysters (S$27 for half, S$54 for a dozen) before you leave.
