When The Original Boat Noodle closed its doors, many mourned for the loss of a comforting Halal-certified Thai restaurant in Singapore. Now, a new contender has joined the scene after recently becoming Halal-certifiedPratunam PLUS by Soi Thai Soi Nice—promising a broader dining experience than its predecessor.

Soi Thai Soi Nice has delighted diners since December 2016 with warm hospitality and flavour-packed Thai dishes. One standout is its Royal Thai Hot Pot (S$38.80 or S$68.80), loaded with seafood, vegetables, and more.

Since opening, the brand has expanded to nine outlets islandwide, but Pratunam PLUS remains its only Halal-certified location, making it a go-to spot for Muslim customers. You’ll find it at Bugis+, surrounded by popular franchises like Kimchi Mama, Haidilao Hot Pot, Marutama Ra-men, and Pizza Maru.

While the competition on the same floor may be stiff, Pratunam PLUS fits right in with what many consider a foodie’s paradise. To spot it easily, look out for the vibrant storefront and the iconic Tuk Tuk parked just outside.

The menu draws inspiration from Thailand’s street food scene, featuring cult-favourites like Phad See Ew (S$8.90), Thai Style Steamed Seabass (S$28.90), Mango Sticky Rice (S$4.90), and more.

What stood out most were the best sellers, starting with the Signature Thai Army Hot Pot (S$36.80). This comforting pot comes filled with generous portions of seafood, tender chicken, and assorted vegetables

The broth uses a classic Tom Yum base, with a choice of creamy, spicy red or clear. It’s hearty enough to share between two to four diners, and the best part? The Tom Yum broth is free-flow, so the pot just keeps going.

Dining solo? You’ll still be spoiled for choice. Try the Signature Dry Tom Yum Chicken (S$7.90), where you can choose up to four noodle types, including Kway Teow, Mama Noodle, Bee Hoon, or springy Noodle. The dry version is a must-try, since it delivers more intense flavours than its broth counterpart.

You can also go for the Runny Omelette series with prawn or chicken. For chicken, choose from grilled, fried, or minced options—all priced at S$8.90 each. Each dish comes with a perfectly runny omelette, pairing beautifully with soft, fragrant fried rice.

Wrap up your meal with a cooling treat of Fried Banana Coconut Ice Cream (S$4.90) or savoury sides like Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls (S$5.90). A quick heads up: these crowd-favourites tend to sell out fast.
