Have you treated yourself this week? If you’re in the mood for lunch that’s a little more luxe without breaking the bank, sen-ryo might be the place for you.
In lieu of their first anniversary, the popular Japanese restaurant in ION Orchard has launched all-new, limited-time-only lunch sets from now till 15 May 2022.
Limited-time lunch sets
Pretend like you’re at a skewer bar on a Friday night with the sen-ryo Kushiyaki Set (S$20.80) — ebi, tsukune, hotate, shiitake, and onion skewers served with Japanese rice, chawanmushi, miso soup, salad, and pickles.
A healthier option would be the Salmon Shioyaki Set (S$26.80), grilled Norwegian salmon served alongside radish and ikura.
If you prefer to keep it light, the unique Madai Ochazuke Set (S$19.80) features rice topped with sliced sea bream, bonito flakes, radish, leek, and of course, a delicate green tea broth to be poured into the bowl.
These offerings join the existing selection of lunch sets, including the sen-ryo Special Bento (S$29.80), comprising of sides like assorted sashimi, signature tamagoyaki, tako karaage, ebi tempura and more. It’s an ideal lunch for those who like trying a little bit of everything.
New seasonal specials
Another limited-edition special is the Kaki Soy Nabe (S$38.80), Japanese soy milk dashi-based hotpot with chewy Kuzukiri noodles, tofu, vegetables, shiitake, and freshly shucked Hyogo oysters. Perfect for rainy afternoons.
According to sen-ryo’s Instagram, this will be available until 22 May 2022.
I don’t know about you, but I’m peachy keen on these adorable IG-worthy Peach Sorbet (S$11.80) and Lemon Ice Cream (S$6.80) desserts from Toyama, Japan.
All lunch sets are only available from 11am to 3pm, and reservations can be made here.
