When Simplicité by Fresh Fruits Lab rebranded earlier this year, it was given an all-new, chic Parisian look that had cafe goers from all over the island swooning. Think light filtering through French floor-to-ceiling windows, wicker chairs, marble accents, and European style lamps that will easily transport you to the streets of France, despite it being situated a short walk away from Kembangan MRT station.
Their new Afternoon Tea Set (S$49++) for two is designed as a medley of both savoury and sweet French-inspired bites, paired with a choice of either artisan tea or arabica coffee. The set is available from 2pm to 6pm daily (except on Monday, when the cafe is closed), so if you’ve been looking for ways to spend your annual leave at the end of the year, sipping tea and taking dainty bites in a Paris-style cafe might not be a bad idea.

Turn it into a boozy brunch when you choose from Simplicité’s range of innovative cocktails, house pours, beers, and even mocktails if it’s “too early to drink” (said no one ever).
Otherwise, you might also opt to boot your meal with mains such as Masago Prawn Pasta (S$18), Double Cheese Da Bomb Burger (S$20), and my personal recommendation, Duck Confit (S$28) which sees fall-off-the-bone chunks of duck and cripsy skin.
