Mark your calendars, the annual Singapore Night Festival is finally making a comeback after a two year hiatus! (Especially if you’re already missing the incredible light installations are this year’s i Light Singapore.)
This year’s festival will be taking place from 19 to 27 August from 7.30pm to 12am around the Bras Basah and Bugis precinct — which is also dubbed as one of our sunny island’s centre for arts and heritage.

Marking the 13th year of the Singapore Night Festival’s (it started back in 2008!) exciting showcases, this year’s festival will include over 55 mesmerising experiences including light installations and exhibits that showcase our country’s heritage, arts and culture.
Most of the exhibits will be free, so people from all walks of life will be able to take in the magnificent sights and experience the wonders and stories that the installations will tell.
The theme of the festival this year is Rebirth — so visitors will be able to expect to see performances and installations centered around the topic of new beginnings.
And that’s not all — at Singapore Night Festival 2022, there will also be a selection of food and retail experiences, so your eyes won’t be the only things that are feasting at the festival!

There’s a whole lot to experience at the festival, from immersive performances such as Cathay Hotel: The Curse of The Missing Red Shoe by Vertical Submarine to projection installations that make stories come to live like Stories from Forbidden Hill by Maxin10sity — and that’s just naming a couple.

If you’re looking to take some seriously IG-worthy pictures, you’ll also love the 14 Night Lights installations like Tunnel Graffiti by Lynette Quek.

With so many exhibits, performances and installations running through a large area, the Singapore Night Festival is probably one you’ll have to visit more than once to check everything off the list — but I’m sure nobody’s complaining about that!
PS: remember to plan ahead if you’re only looking to experience some of the exhibits — they might not be all located in the same area!
