Calling all retro-vintage enthusiasts and sneakerheads, this one’s for you. Get on your drip for a party that’s so(le)-retro you’ll have a blast at the Sole Superior Sneaker Convention happening on 26 November from 9am to 4am the next day at Drip Singapore.
Shop the best of the 80’s, with a wide array of sneakers, outfits, and vinyls with your fave tunes – there’s something for everyone here!
Stranger Things fans, you can pretend you’re in Hawkins, Indiana, for one night only with Indonesian streetwear brand YAUDS’ Stranger Things shirts. For this event, 80 pieces (in all sizes) will be available for purchase, so hurry down before they sell out!
Saint Barkley, known for their edgy and classic designs, will unveil their new collection in collaboration with Sole Superior, which we’re anticipating! Themed around the 80s’ scratch-and-sniff stickers, these retro kicks are perfect for rockin’ out.
For those who love the street fashion aesthetic, there’ll also be unique streetwear that’ll turn heads when you walk. You can also get vinyls, colourful socks, and other accessories to complete the look! While the full vendor list for the event is yet to be confirmed, you can expect all ranges of sneakers from popular brands and a list of eclectic indie retailers.
Tickets to the day event are S$10 (online), and each ticket gets you a chance to enter a raffle, with prizes like sneakers, watches, and more. If you can’t get enough of the fun, there’ll also be an afterparty at DRIP.
The party resumes at 9pm and goes hard till 4am Sunday morning with low-tech electronic music featuring indie genres like Industrial Dark Synth and Digital Punk Rock. Local acts will also be performing, with edgy entries including SWITCHBLADES and Microchip Terror. Afterparty tickets cost S$30, and come with a complimentary drink.
Groove to the beat, stunt in your freshest kicks and have the raddest time at this after party! You’ll want to avoid shorts and slippers for the afterparty, and come in club attire, whether it’s something you got at the convention, or a cool outfit for a night out on the town.
