Have you visited Bugis Street recently? If you haven’t, there’s a new reason for you to do so. In collaboration with Invade, the organisers of Artbox and Fleawhere, the mall is launching Somewhere @ Bugis Street, a new retail playground for youths.
A refreshed space
Located at a recently revamped Level 2 of Bugis Street, Somewhere @ Bugis Street is a space where you can discover local independent brands and fresh experiences. This includes Ruby Merlot, a Singaporean brand that now also operates out of Seoul, South Korea.
Not only will you find everyday companions like bags and notebooks here, but you can also customise your own journals and attend weekend junk journaling sessions. This is just an example of how Somewhere @ Bugis Street isn’t just a shopping spot, but a third space where you can find your community.
Standard Photo Studio is another store to visit with your tribe. Contrary to what its name might suggest, this isn’t just your standard photo booth, but an elaborate, playful self-shoot concept. There are four themed rooms where you can enjoy a hands-free photo booth experience, including a Hawker Room.
You will easily walk away with memories captured in a classic photo strip — but if you’d like to be a little more creative, you can also DIY a personalised photo keychain with beads.
Feeling a little thirsty or craving something sweet? Drop by Creamie Sippies and get some of their signature matcha beverages, first popularised on TikTok. At Bugis Street, the brand will also introduce a Banana Pudding Bar, where customers can customise their own banana pudding with toppings and sauces.
Weekend Market
If you’re visiting Somewhere @ Bugis Street on the weekends, it gets even more exciting. Other than the brands we’ve mentioned, a special weekend-only market will open every Saturday and Sunday, featuring thrifters, crafters, and creators.
