<p><strong>Clarke Quay</strong> has always been one of the hottest hang out spots in Singapore when it comes to the <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/singapore-night-festival-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">night life</a>, but come 2023, it’s about to turn into a bustling day time attraction as well. </p>

<p>On top of its already existing night life establishments like clubs, bars and bistros, the destination will receive a full makeover with upgraded facilities, cafes, retail stores as well as supermarkets like Fairprice Finest (and this one will have in-store dining options!), turning it into a true blue day-to-night attraction called<strong> CQ @ Clarke Quay</strong>. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-default"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-16-10.jpg" alt="CQ @ Clarke Quay revamp" class="wp-image-44463" width="800" height="427" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-16-10.jpg 1009w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-16-10-300x160.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-16-10-768x409.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-16-10-585x312.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: CapitaLand</figcaption></figure>

<p>One of the new installments will include a new thrill ride for those who are looking for an adrenaline rush — the Slingshot (<em>which catapults adrenaline-seekers into the air at high speed, so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart!</em>). This will open at the end of 2022, so if you’re looking to welcome 2023 with a bang, you can probably consider a ride here. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-default"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-2.jpg" alt="CQ @ Clarke Quay revamp" class="wp-image-44464" width="800" height="452" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-2.jpg 1006w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-2-300x170.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-2-768x434.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-2-585x331.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: CapitaLand</figcaption></figure>

<p>If you want to let loose after a long night of partying (or while getting ready for round two), the popular massage and spa chain <strong>Natureland</strong> is also slated to open an outlet at the new and improved CQ @ Clarke Quay. </p>

<p>Other than a fresh coat of paint and added facilities, the revamp will also focus greatly on the green initiative — including energy-saving chillers and a canopy that can reduce heat.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-default"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31.jpg" alt="CQ @ Clarke Quay revamp" class="wp-image-44465" width="800" height="451" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31.jpg 1019w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-300x169.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-768x433.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/photo_2022-07-27_11-15-31-585x330.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: CapitaLand</figcaption></figure>

<p>There will also be multi-directional fans that can circulate air around the area efficiently, cooling the temperature by at least 2 degree celsius — a huge plus point as it tends to get pretty hot and humid in the day on our island!&nbsp;</p>

<p>To hop on the day-to-night bandwagon, Zouk (<em>one of the places that most of us go to Clarke Quay for</em>), will also be looking into incorporating some daytime activities or facilities, so you can quite literally spend the whole day there. </p>

<p>If you already love hanging out at Clarke Quay, the new and refreshed CQ @ Clarke Quay is probably going to be one of your favourite hangouts in 2023!</p>

<p>If you’ve still got some fight in you for a dose of adventure, here are <strong>11 new places and things to do in Singapore</strong> that’ll wake you right up.</p>

<p>Eat. Sleep. Work. Repeat. These are the four steps that have became routine after COVID-19 entered our premises. Since we’re spending most of our time at home, it’s as if the whole world is asleep and nothing is happening enough to catch our attention.</p>

<p>But we may be wrong. While we’re lulling away, new eateries and activities have been quietly popping up in the corners of Singapore. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-new-places-things-to-do-in-singapore"><strong>New places &amp; things to do in Singapore&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-life-in-edo-kyoto-styled-exhibition"><strong>Life in Edo &#8212; Kyoto-styled exhibition</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-1024x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-31387" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-70x70.jpg 70w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-390x390.jpg 390w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1-585x585.jpg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image9-1.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Photo: @nuno_keitaf_2.0/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>There is an abundance of pop-up exhibitions in Singapore, but it’s rare to find one that whisks you away to ancient Japan. Unlike the usual hipster-style cafes or exhibitions that attempt to mimic the modern urban life of Tokyo or Fukuoka, <strong>Life in Edo </strong>is a traditional showcase of ancient Japanese culture and craftsmanship.</p>

<p>Located at Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), <strong>&nbsp;Life in Edo | Russel Wong in Kyoto </strong>is split into two parts. <strong>Russel Wong in Kyoto </strong>focuses on the beauty of nature and architecture in present-day Kyoto, the old imperial capital, and geisha traditions through the lens of a local photographer.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="801" height="1001" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-31391" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20.jpg 801w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20-240x300.jpg 240w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20-768x960.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20-312x390.jpg 312w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image20-585x731.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 801px) 100vw, 801px" /><figcaption>Photo: @ev.hon/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>To bring you back to the past, <strong>Life In Edo</strong> focuses on the lifestyles and trends of the Edo period, from 1603 to 1868, through a display of Japanese woodblock prints. More installations can be found at Shaw Foyer, where you’ll be able to complete your trip by taking some photos for keepsake.</p>

<p>The tickets are priced at <strong>S$12 for Singaporeans/Permanent Residents</strong>, but they’re also SingapoRediscover Voucher eligible.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Purchase your tickets <a href="https://www.nhb.gov.sg/acm/whats-on/exhibitions/life-in-edo-russel-wong-in-kyoto">here</a>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-lumina-rainforest-multi-sensory-luminous-night-trail"><strong>Lumina Rainforest</strong> &#8212; Multi-sensory luminous night trail</h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="599" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31392" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1.png 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1-300x225.png 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1-768x575.png 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1-521x390.png 521w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image1-585x438.png 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: Wildlife Reserves Singapore</figcaption></figure>

<p>Launched in 2018, the multimedia night walk has captured the hearts of Singaporeans with their magical universe; a place where only humans and virtual animals roam. To reignite the nocturnal souls in you, multi-sensory night trail <strong><a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/rainforest-lumina-2021/">Rainforest Lumina</a></strong> will be returning to Singapore from <strong>8 July 2021 to 13 February 2022 </strong>&#8212; for one, final time.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="801" height="1001" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-31329" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2.jpg 801w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2-768x960.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2-312x390.jpg 312w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image2-585x731.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 801px) 100vw, 801px" /><figcaption>Photo: @shuutravels/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>Your journey through the enchanted rainforest begins when you enter the luminous arch. Led by the Creature Crew, you’ll go through beautiful installations such as a dazzling walkway engulfed in fireflies, a digital thunderstorm in a symphonic forest and an exciting trail of light huts.</p>

<p>If your senses are already tingling, admission tickets to Rainforest Lumina can be purchased online from 1 July. The tickets are priced at <strong>S$18 for adult/youth and S$14 for child/senior</strong>. The tickets are also SingapoRediscover Vouchers redeemable, so it’s a good opportunity to use up the ones you’ve left.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="800" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-31393" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-70x70.jpg 70w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-390x390.jpg 390w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image7-1-585x585.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort &amp; Spa</figcaption></figure>

<p>Since we’re stuck in Singapore, staycations have become the norm to escape reality and destress. But an alpaca-themed staycation? That’s something you don’t see every day.</p>

<p>If you’ve ever seen an alpaca in real life, you’d understand how notoriously cute these creatures can be &#8212; and <strong>Sofitel Singapore </strong>definitely got the memo.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="800" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-31394" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-300x300.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-150x150.jpg 150w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-768x768.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-70x70.jpg 70w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-390x390.jpg 390w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/image19-585x585.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort &amp; Spa</figcaption></figure>

<p>Their new glamping staycation package comes with a hotel room filled with alpaca-themed decor, a whimsical in-room tent setup, free Universal Studios tickets, complimentary breakfast, and <strong>S$120</strong> of dining credit to eat to your heart’s content.</p>

<p>These alpaca-themed staycations are part of <strong>Sofitel Sentosa’s Family Fun Glampcation package</strong>. Each selection can accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child, and a minimum of two nights is required. Prices start from <strong>S$1096 in total for 2 nights</strong>, which works out to around <strong>S$274 per night </strong>for a couple.</p>

<p>Granted that it may be a tad bit expensive, it’s still worth the splurge given the premium hotel location. Plus, you’re surrounded by alpacas and there are freebies thrown in.</p>

<p>To make your bookings, click <a href="https://www.sofitel-singapore-sentosa.com/offers/familyfun_glampcation/">here</a>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-heaven-spot-unleash-your-inner-rebel-with-grafitti"><strong>Heaven Spot</strong> &#8212; Unleash your inner rebel with grafitti</h3>

<p>Located in a dull and run-down industrial building near Potong Pasir, you’ll be wowed by its contrasting space. Walls are covered in abstract graffiti of all forms and colours, and you’ll get to create your very own masterpiece with spray paints of your choice.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As graffiti art does not require precision in details, Heaven Spot’s workshop is great even for beginners.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some of our best secondary school times were probably at arcades. Rushing to the shopping mall after school is one thing, but thrashing it out with our friends on Wangan/Jubeat/DDR? That was an adrenaline rush that nothing else could beat.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If reading that has unlocked your after-school memories, here’s a piece of good news — <strong><a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/cow-play-cow-moo-jurong-point/">Cow Play Cow Moo </a></strong>just opened a new outlet at Jurong Point, so Westies rejoice.</p>

<p>While flying to Bangkok for a leisurely weekend still seems so far away, one of the things we miss the most is the street food. It’s cheap, fuss-free, and so, so delicious. It’s a street food haven like none other.</p>

<p>But if there’s one snack I miss more than the others, it’s fluffy Yaowarat Buns, filled to the brim with luscious fillings. Thankfully, you can find it at the new Grandstand opening, <strong><a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/tearuk-dessert-bar/">Tearuk Dessert Bar</a></strong>.</p>

<p>At <strong>S$2.50</strong> each, these<em> thicc </em>babies are loaded with a glut of creamy filling. They are so stuffed, it looks like they can overflow at any moment!</p>

<p>The best thing about Tearuk Dessert Bar’s 8 flavours is the fact they aren’t limited to the usual suspects like condensed milk. Besides Milk, there’s also a Thai Tea Kaya, Taro, and Chocolate.</p>

<p>Besides their overflowing buns, Tearuk Dessert bar also sells Milk Tea. Hence the wordplay on “Teeruk” in their name, which means sweetie in Thai.</p>

<p>Flavours include <strong>Thai Milk Tea (S$3.50/4.50)</strong>, <strong>Thai Green Milk Tea (S$3.50/4.50), Milk Tea Brown Sugar (S$3.80/4.80) and Taro Latte (S$3.80/4.80)</strong>. They come in bottles of either 300ml or 500ml.</p>

<p>This new attraction isn’t opened yet, but we reckon that you should get a heads up as it will get pretty crowded.<strong> Eatbox</strong>, a boutique version of Artbox, will be opening a permanent location in <strong>September 2021</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Spanning 9,000 square feet, this mega food hall promises over 20 food booths with crowd favourites from Artbox Singapore and new food stalls. Some of these fares include live seafood, grilled steak, burgers, takoyaki and of course, Thai milk tea.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Vibrant, Instagrammable corners will be peppered all over the place, and these creative murals are created in collaboration with a group of local artists and will be refreshed every six to eight months.</p>

<p>Similar to Artbox, there will also be retail stores. Be it shopping for clothes, getting cute crafts or slapping on adorable wrist tattoos, there’s something for everyone.</p>
