However, have you ever heard of cereal-infused ice cream? 

Well, now you have, because Heavenly Sundae is Singapore’s first and only cereal infused ice cream and cereal shakes bar in Jurong. 

Sure, it’s a little further for non-Westies but they have over twenty cereal flavours to choose from — some of which cannot be found at your local supermarkets. 

So, if you ever find yourself in need of a pick-me-up, you know where to go (especially for NTU and NIE students studying nearby). 

You’d get the opportunity to DIY your own Ice Cream Swirl (S$6) with an ice cream, one cereal, one mix-in, and a drizzle. Choose from their ice cream including golden vanilla pod, salted caramel or rich chocolate. 

Alternatively, you can top up an additional S$1 for the waffle cone if you’re feeling extra peckish.

If you’re unsure of what cereal to get, simply turn to the eye-catching feature wall that boasts an array of cereal boxes.

Popular flavours like Milo, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Oreo O’s are available but what I’m more interested in are the hard-to-find brands like Golden Grahams, Kit Kat and Trix.

To take things up a notch, they also have a flavour of the month and are currently offering Apple Jacks. Now, you won’t have to scour the internet just to have a taste of the cinnamony apple cereal. 

Top it off with a mix-in like nutella or lotus biscoff cream and drizzle it with maple syrup — cerealously yummy. 

For a more decadent treat, try their Cereal Shake (S$8) that includes ice cream, full cream milk, cereal, and a drizzle of your choice. 

You can choose to get creative and create your own heavenly milkshake but you can always refer to the “bucket list” if you need some flavour inspiration.

Peanut butter fanatics must try the combination of golden vanilla, Reeses Puffs, peanut crackers, and caramel drizzle.

The cherry on top is that they’re open till late for night owls (or students who are mugging for finals).

For those whose shoulders are heavy with burden, we’ve at least one good thing to perk you up. To celebrate the upcoming National Day, local ice cream cafe Creamier will be launching three new ice cream flavours.

Creamier’s new ice cream flavours from $3.90

Inspired by local breakfast fare, the flavours are Kopi-Peng, Teh-Peng, and Kaya Toast. It isn’t just any run-of-the-mill replica, though. Made in collaboration with traditional coffee roaster Kim Guan Guan (KGG), these new Creamier ice cream flavours are to be taken seriously.

Made with KGG’s locally roasted robusta coffee powder, the Kopi-Peng has a flavour similar to traditional sock-brewed local coffee. The new Creamier ice cream is big in flavour and holds a luxuriously soft and velvety mouth-feel, so a scoop of it will wake you right up.

Also a collaboration with KGG, the Teh-Peng is created with Kenyan black tea dust and caramelised milk, boasting a full-bodied flavour that pairs well with the sweetness of the milk. 

A breakfast staple in Singapore, it’s no surprise that the Kaya Toast has made its way onto the dessert table. The pandan-flavoured ice cream is made from fresh pandan leaves and caramelised coconut milk, then mixed with a generous amount of buttered toast. 

These three new Creamier ice cream flavours cost S$3.90 per scoop, but you can also take home a pint at S$12.90.

To call dibs on the new flavours, you can pre-order the ice cream via Creamier’s online shop on 1 August. The ice cream will then be available at all Creamier outlets and food delivery platforms from 6 August onwards.

Keep in mind that dining-in is still restricted, but you can opt to takeaway or deliver these sweet treats to your doorstep. 

The new ice cream flavours will be available for purchase till 31 October, so there’s plenty of time to try them.
