Modern teahouses have been all the rage lately, and if you’ve been battling the long queues at Lantine, look no further than Tea Story for your next fix of Chinese tea, handmade desserts, and savoury rice noodles.

Tea Story is MacPherson’s newest cosy spot for affordable tea breaks. With each item priced below S$10, this may well be your go-to spot for a quick midday pick-me-up.

Step into a quaint space with wooden elements and lots of greenery, complete with curated oriental decorations.

Look out for the Healthy Baked Milk series, a line of milk tea with various health benefits. Each pot is freshly brewed, so expect to wait ten minutes for your pot of wellbeing.

Feel pretty in pink with the Rose Milk Tea (S$7.90), which comes with longan, red dates, and wolfberries.

Not a fan of traditional tea? They have classic bubble tea options such as the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea (S$5.90) and Royal Ceylon Honey Milk Tea (S$5.90).
For something more refreshing, try the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea Smoothie (S$5.80), Lychee Rose Milkshake (S$5.90), or the Duck Poop Oolong Perfume Lemon (S$6.90).
While you can’t choose your sugar level yet, patrons have reported that the drinks aren’t too sweet.
Add-ons such as Taro Balls, Coffee Jelly, Pearls and Agar Balls are available from S$0.80. Alternatively, upsize your drink for S$1.

Nourish your soul with the Peach Gum, Tremella and Red Dates Soup (S$5.80). Brewed by hand for three hours every day, this is good for cough relief and skin health.
Life is always better with a sweet treat, so check out their range of handmade desserts. The Pandan Rice Noodles (S$5.90) are almost too adorable to eat.

Or, the Osmanthus Jasmine Cheese (S$7.90) with handmade osmanthus jelly is a light and jiggly dessert that tastes similar to jasmine cheesecake.

For better bowel movement and enhanced immunity, get the Coconut Milk and Peach Gum Taro Balls (S$5.90).

On the other hand, the Traditional Tremella Stewed Pear (S$7.90) is great for skin and throat health.
If you happen to be in the area during lunchtime, try their savoury bone soup rice noodles. Spice lovers will enjoy the Happy Spicy Rice Noodles (S$6.90), with ingredients including quail eggs, black fungus, and crab sticks.
