Is East Side the best side? I say yes, because popular neighbourhood bakery Puffs and Peaks’s very first dine-in outlet is now open in Tampines!

Puffs and Peaks started as a home-based bakery run by mother-daughter duo Linda and Jing Ting.
Serving up small-batch homemade goodies with monthly menus, their signature brioche donuts became so popular that they converted to a physical takeaway space at Tampines Central Community Club.

Four years later, their second outlet at Tampines Changkat Community Club is now ready to serve their popular goodies, complete with a cosy dine-in area.

Whether you’re a classic pastry lover or an adventurous eater, there’s something for everyone.
We’ve got to start with their customer-favourite brioche donuts, which come in more than ten different flavours.

The basic Plain Cinnamon Donuts go for just S$2.90 a piece. Deluxe flavours such as Hojicha and Salted Honey Whip & Peanut Butter range from S$4.30 to S$4.50.
They’re currently running a promotion for the donuts — get one free Plain Cinnamon Donut for every six donuts bought.
The end date is unspecified, so be sure to grab these before they’re gone!

I don’t know about you, but these prices are so worth it for artisanal donuts.
I’m definitely keeping my eyes peeled for their seasonal flavours (hello, strawberries and cream).
Some people just aren’t donut fans, and that’s okay because Puffs and Peaks has a large variety of baked goodies.
Keep things simple with the Valrhona Brownie (S$4.50) or try its sister brownie-cookie hybrid, the Brookie (S$4).

Since the Dubai Chocolate trend is still making its rounds around the Internet, keep up with the times with the Chilled Pistachio Tart (S$8) or the Pistachio Almond Croissant (S$8).

Egg tarts are an all-time classic, and this time they’re merged with local flavours in the Pandan Coconut Egg Tart (S$5.50).

If you’re craving something savoury instead, check out the Potato Cheddar Sour Cream & Chives Danish (S$6.50).

Of course, what’s a cafe without any drinks?
I’m always a sucker for creamy coffee so my personal pick is the Einspanner (S$6.50).
Alternatively, take your pick from the Speciality Drinks selection. There’s Matcha Latte (S$7), Callebaut Chocolate Latte (S$6.50), and Honey Lemon (S$6.50) made from wildflower honey.

Since seasonal items vary monthly, be sure to follow them on Instagram to stay updated.
Fellow Easties, are you ready to hop down to the Puffs and Peaks for dough-licious goodies?
