TEMT has always been one of Singapore’s go-to shops for cheap and trendy outfits. So it pains us to have to hear that TEMT will be closing down their business in mid-June.

In an official statement last night, TEMT announced their plans for closure. With just two remaining outlets left at Paya Lebar Quarter and Jurong Point, both outlets will say goodbye to us sometime next month.

This is after 8 long years in Singapore and dressing us up in their stylish garms. Couldn’t have gone on those dates without you, thanks TEMT.

But for those who have never heard of them, TEMT is a popular brand from Australia that used to be all over Singapore. All over — from Bugis+, Junction 8 to Somerset.

As a gesture of gratitude to all their loyal customers for the support they have received over the past 8 years, TEMT will be having major discounts on all their items in their Paya Lebar outlet.

Yes, a clearance sale with huge discounts — they’re going out with a bang. Probably the only good thing to have came out of this sad piece of news.

TEMT’s Singapore clearance sale will be starting on 17 May 2021, with an end date unspecified. But we’re guessing it’d be sometime around Mid-June.

There’s no news of whether the Jurong Point outlet will receive the same sales. But you can always go down to get a few pieces for support before their eventual closure.

Here’s hoping they last until the stay home measures are over!

In light of the recent Covid restriction, safe distancing measures will also be implemented to ensure the safety of customers patronising the shop. There will also be a shop limit imposed to ensure safe shopping.

TEMT is not Singapore’s only overseas brand that has gone out of business. Other popular brand have also closed down in recent times.

Some of you may be old enough to remember Abercombie & Fitch, when it opened with a row of shirtless hunks greeting you at the door. Sadly, the iconic A&F outlet was vacated last month.

Hopefully, our other favourite fashion brands survive these harsh pandemic times as well.
