Cool down with coconut shakes and Speculoos egg tarts at this Thai fusion cafe

by Christabel Tan

One can’t beat the allure of an icy cold coconut shake in scorching weather. Now you can have your shake and drink it too at Thai-owned Sweet Mak Mak Fusion Cafe. Situated in bustling Shenton Way, it’s the perfect spot to decompress and take a break from work.

You can’t leave without sampling at least one of their milkshakes. Why queue for a classic Coconut Shake (S$5) in the heat when you can sip on one in the air-conditioned comfort of a cafe? Alternatively, shake things up with a Speculoos Coconut Shake (S$5.50), Rose Matcha Shake (S$5.50), or Brown Sugar Thai Milk Tea Shake (S$5.50).

Balance out those rich and creamy shakes with a selection of savoury treats, like the Omelette Cheesy Mentaiko Tuna Toast, Hei Bee Hiam Toast, and many more. These signature toasts are prepared by the lady boss herself, ensuring that quality is never compromised.

From 3pm to 5pm on weekdays, unwind with a Tea Break Set Menu at only S$8.90, which entitles you to a pot of Premium Tea or Signature Classic Shake, and a food item to munch on. We don’t know about you, but we’ve got our eye on the unique Speculoos Egg Tarts or Burnt Cheesecake
