You’re in for an enchanting experience inspired by the goddess of love, Venus, in an elegant and refined setting with lavish green and gold embellishments.
The restaurant also encourages its diners to “fall in love, rediscover passion in every mouthful and rebirth desires to bridge lasting connections over the dining table”. Sounds like a tall order, but the menu may convince you otherwise.
Feast your eyes (and stomach) on an array of modern French fusion dishes. Dramatic presentation aside, the signature Venus Scallop (S$28) and Golden Soft Shell Crab (S$18) are must-orders.
As for mains, we recommend the Fragrance Oil Confit Duck Leg (S$38), that’s served alongside hearty crushed potatoes and pan-roasted vegetables, and the Iberico Pork Secreto (S$36), a rich and tender cut marinated in Xi’An spice.
The desserts here are dreamy and decadent, with crowd-pleasing elements of chocolate, citrus, and tea. Order the Dark Chocolate Mousse (S$22), Mandarin Peel Madeleines (S$10), or Profiteroles (S$14) with oolong ice cream and chantilly cream. Ooh la la.
To get the most bang for your buck, go for the Set Lunch (S$28++ for 2 Course, S$38++ for 3 Course). You’ll get to enjoy mains, appetisers, and/or desserts from the a la carte menu, including the Ha Cheong Gai, Kuhlbarra Barramundi, and Black Angus Beef Ribeye (supplement S$12).
Intimate dates don’t have to always cost a pretty penny.
