Talk about deja vu — it’s May, we’re working from home, and aunties are raiding the supermarket again. Feels like CB all over again and we will definitely be missing our favourite foods. Luckily, Bukit Panjang KKM, one of the most popular stalls in the West, is accepting takeaway preorders!

Hailing from Bukit Panjang, the famous Ke Kou Mian (KKM) is somewhat of a legend, especially among Westies and party-goers looking for supper (oh, the good ol’ days).

Call Uncle at 9007 2127 to place your orders for takeaway ☺️

While it’s normally a torturously long wait for a bowl of noodles at Hai Xian Zhu Zhou (海鲜煮粥), a.k.a. Uncle KKM, this can be a good chance to skip the wait time with a preorder for takeaway.

Unfortunately, they are not delivering as of yet. And it’s not know whether Uncle KKM has any plans to offer deliveries as they did during CB last year. Fingers crossed though!

If you haven’t heard of these legendary bowls of noodles, each bowl is packed with generous ingredients and a rich, hearty soup. Perfect comfort food for the demoralising situation.

They are most iconic for those bouncy instant noodles but trust us when we say that this bowl of KKM is better than any instant noodles you’ve had in your life.

Bukit Panjang KKM ready-to-eat at home

With the recent events and restrictions, we can foresee many people laying in bed at 2am craving the thick, savoury broth of the delicious KKM, with absolutely no cure.

Despite the store still open during this period for takeaway orders, many non-Westies will have to go without it.

Don’t worry though because Uncle’s daughter has got you covered with Dotdotbowl, a ready-to-eat KKM inspired by her dad’s noodles and there’s delivery — islandwide!

If you were part of the whole Suan La Fen craze, then Dotdotbowl’s convenient ready-to-eat bundles will definitely tickle your fancy.

Each bowl of the KKM-inspired Gangsa Noodles costs S$8.50 and delivery ranges between S$8 to S$10.

Each portion can be made three ways — in the robust base broth, with a spark of spice, or even a dry version. There are even videos of Uncle himself slurping down the KKM and giving his praise!

You can place your orders for Dotdotbowl here.
