Woolys Bagels is a Muslim-owned cafe serving bagelwiches stuffed with McSpicy-style fried chicken, smores & more

Singaporeans can’t seem to get enough of fluffy bagels and bagelwiches — the long list of speciality shops selling the well-loved NYC staple can attest to that.

In the spirit of the phrase “the more the merrier”, the Muslim-owned Woolys Bagels has also jumped on the long-running bagel bandwagon with a cosy pop-up store in Farrer Park.

The bagel shop shares the same space as Korean sando specialist Egg Stop, so you can be prepared for lots of loaded sandwiches in a myriad of exciting flavours.

Although the bagel shop itself does not have halal certification, you can rest assured that everything is prepared with halal-certified ingredients.

There are seven savoury bagelwiches (and one sweet) options on the menu, and you can choose between Plain, Sesame, and Parmesan bagel buns.

The crowd favourite Chic Teriyaki (S$12.80) is stuffed with a massive teriyaki chicken thigh, fluffy scrambled eggs, furikake, and creamy truffle mayo, while the locally-inspired Otah Kau (S$12.60) has mackerel otah, scrambled eggs, and a mildly spicy sauce.

The decadent Double Chicken Frizzle (S$13.90) is chock full of scrambled eggs, cheese, and spicy fried chicken thigh that supposedly taste like our favourite guilty pleasure from McDonald’s, the McSpicy — a dream come true!

There’s also something special for all you sweet-toothed folks — a dessert bagelwich in the form of the Bagel SMORE’S (S$7.90), a concoction of gooey roasted marshmallows and Nutella.

Other offerings that fall within the realm of comfort food include Milkshakes (S$6.90) and Mac & Cheese (S$5), with the option of topping up S$2 for fried chicken cutlet.

A warm bagelwich never fails to hit the spot — when will you be getting your hands on one?
