BAO Fast Foods (BFF) is a new concept from London’s cult-favourite BAO. After a homecoming run in Taiwan, the pop-up will next land in Singapore at New Bahru from 11 November 2026 to 28 December 2026.
But what exactly is this experience that is part fast food joint, part Asian convenience store? Keep reading to find out more!

For those of you who enjoy exploring convenience stores when you’re overseas, especially in Asian countries like Taiwan, you will find the vibes here immaculate. At BFF, there will be a sense of familiarity with a distinct Taiwan flavour.

Expect shelves filled with Taiwanese comfort food and snacks, and a rotating selection of grab-and-go items. There will also be self-serve stations and sections featuring BAO’s merchandise.
From protein-packed bites like Egg Sandos and Marinated Eggs to high-fibre sides like “Fried Rice” Quinoa and Golden Kimchi, to sweet treats like Soy Puddings with tiramisu and banoffee toppings, you’ll have plenty to discover and revisit the pop-up for.

The signature item, however, is the Chicken Chopper (S$6.50). Of course, when it comes to Taiwanese snacks, you must have fried chicken. And this is BFF’s take on the classic street food, perfected over 140 iterations.
You will notice that the chicken is cut with the bone left in place as a handle, making it easy to eat. By dipping the chicken in a soymilk batter and coating it in a tapioca starch mix, BFF ensures the meat stays juicy while having a light, crackly crust on the outside.
Flavours to look forward to include Original Crispy, Flame Glazed, and Master Scalded. The first is seasoned with Taiwanese white pepper, the second is flavoured with soy-garlic or mala hot honey glaze, and the third is dipped in a boiling soy-based master sauce with star anise and cinnamon.

For a more filling meal, you can order the Chicken Chopper as part of a rice box (S$7.95), or pair it with Dan Dan Noodles (S$6.50) or Beef Cup Noodle (S$12.50). Combos from S$9.50 are also available.

Another staple of Taiwanese food culture is tea! And you will be able to find a selection of Taiwanese craft tea here at the BFF pop-up. Highlights include the nitro-infused Fluffy Natural Alishan Wintermelon (S$5.95), the carbonated Orange Guava Beauty Tea (S$6.50), and the rich Original Peanut Oatside Milk (S$6).
If anything about this pop-up excites you, mark your calendars from 11 November to 28 December. It’s time to have a date at the convenience store!
