Who says French dining has to break the bank? Bouillon Gavroche proves that great French food doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. Enjoy classic bistro dishes made with care at affordable prices that don’t come with a side of financial regret.

The Salade de Pommes de Terre, Œuf, Jambon (S$9) brings together tender potatoes, savoury ham, and eggs, all tossed in a tangy mustard dressing that ties every bite together – comfort food dressed up in French finesse. For something lighter but no less flavourful, the Œufs Mimosa (S$6) features simple ingredients: hard-boiled eggs blended with fresh herbs and creamy mayonnaise.

The Pièce du Boucher, Sauce Poivre, Frites (S$28) is best summed up in one line: “Portions that satisfy, prices that make sense”. A classic Butcher’s Cut Steak paired with crispy, golden fries lathered in peppercorn sauce – the kind that will have you mopping up every last drop on the plate. Want a dish that feels like a warm hug from your grandparents? Get the Parmentier de Canard (S$22), tender shredded duck confit layered with crushed potatoes.

Calling all pasta lovers, the Ravioles de Royan aux Épinards et Ricotta (S$16) is stuffed with silky ricotta and creamy spinach, while the Ravioles de Royan à la Truffe (S$20) takes things up a notch with a decadent black truffle cream. Once you go truffle, you don’t go back.

When in doubt, the Saumon, Tian de Légumes Provençaux (S$24) never disappoints – unlike your ex. It is beautifully pan-seared and served with Mediterranean vegetables millefeuille. Light, healthy, and perfectly balanced between protein and greens, it’s the dish that lets you say “I can eat a dessert later” and actually mean it.

No meal here is complete without the Crème Brûlée (S$10), our absolute favourite that has a satisfying crack of caramelised sugar giving way to silky custard underneath, and honestly, I wouldn’t share this. Equally iconic is the signature Profiterole (S$10), a timeless classic done right. If you’re after something more fruity, the Tarte aux Framboises (S$12) delivers a tangy raspberry punch balanced with smooth vanilla cream – fruity yet indulgent.

Bouillon Gavroche has been added to the “emergency comfort food” list – you know, for emergencies like “I want to eat here again”. Kpo to see what the fuss is all about? Make your reservations here, as the restaurant can be packed tighter than a Parisian metro at peak hours.
